My Name Is...

Hey guys! I would just like to say that I'm very excited (and nervous) to be writing this story. I've never really created my own story before so I go easy on me! I hope you guys enjoy this fanfic and I would really appreciate any comments that could help make my writing better and more enjoyable for everyone. I'd also like to point out the obvious but just for safety state that I DO NOT own any of these characters and I did not draw the title picture... wish I did but I'm not that talented.

(Sound of screaming and doors slamming)

Lucy's POV

Let me go!

I'm afraid we can't princess, Kings Orders.

Well screw the king! He has no right to keep me locked up in this dungeon.

(Suddenly a booming voice shakes the room)

Actually I have every right.

(The room is frozen with fear. Right before my very eyes a 10 foot black and grey bull shark comes hurtling towards me)

Did YOU honestly believe I was going to let you go so easily?  HA! Just be happy I didn't kill you as soon as we caught you. Remember this... next time you try to escape, you will be killed... ON SITE!

(My Lips quiver in fear)

I looked over to my companion Plue who is completely shaking from head to toe. Poor Plue. Not wanting to show a sign of weakness I ferociously stare at the king straight in the eyes for what feels like hours but in actuality is only a few seconds. Finally the king relaxes and gives a bone chilling smirk. And grabs my chin between his thumb and index finger forcing me to keep staring at him.

You have beautiful brown eyes.... Be careful or you'll lose them

What does that mean?! Is he really threatening to cut out my eyes if I run away again?

(He lets go not before shoving her against the cell wall. He stares at her only a few moments before finally leaving the dungeon).

*Sigh* (I slide down to the cellar floor. )

He's finally gone...

My names Lucy Heartfilia and I'm a mermaid. Yes, you heard that right. I am a mermaid and you might think I'm lucky but I'm anything but. I used to have a wonderful life before HIM.... King Zeref... king of the sharks took over all of Fiore. My dad, King Jude, or now just Jude, was the ruler of all of Fiore. There was always a divide between sharks and mermaids. Ever since the Battle of the Kings ended, leaving us mermaids in control of the land and the sharks pushed back to the darkest depths of the ocean, we were never allowed to interact with them for the fear of being killed. Just months ago my father was brutally assassinated as our kingdom was overrun by Zeref's followers. Over half of our population was wiped out including my mother Layla.... And now I'm being treated as Zeref's slave and prize to show he's the new leader. The other mermaids of our kingdom were put to work on plankton farms and serving in the palace. There are other pods of mermaids around the world and I WILL escape, build my own army, and take back the throne as queen of all of Fiore. I juuust need to find a away to escape without getting caught first.
