After a hour of watching the cops raid Hezekiah house, I could finally leave. I got in my car and drove directly home.
"What happened?" Jason asked me. I dropped my purse on the counter. "Hezekiah is locked up" I said feeling myself get emotional once again
"Who gives a fuck" He said. "Me! That's my kids father" I said. He gently pushed me against the counter. "I'm sorry Sage. I can't stand that guy" He said
"Let's get this off of you" He said removing my bloody shirt. Jason walked out the laundry room with a clean shirt. He gently put the shirt over my head
"I love you and I'm going to be here by your side no matter what" Jason said before he kissed my lips. A slight smile appeared on my face "I love you"
"What happened to your lip?" I asked him. "I was playing ball with the boys and I took an elbow to the lip" He said walking away to the refrigerator
I walked upstairs to the twins room. I quietly walked in. I kissed their foreheads. "I love you" I said to them as they continue to sleep
"Hello" I whispered into the phone so Jason wouldn't wake up."I just got off the phone with King. He has court in the morning and he wants you to be there" Mark said
I took a seat on the chair putting my hand on my forehead "I don't know " I said softly. "You got to come" Mark said. I sighed a little "Okay I'll be there"
I placed my phone on the nightstand then I crawled back into bed with Jason. I cuddle up against his warm body.

I took a deep breath before I walked into the courtroom. I took a seat next to Madelyn and Levi while Mark and Court sat on the other side of me
"Case 45321670. People vs Hezekiah Bazemore" Hezekiah came out with his hands cuffed"You may be seated" The judge said
I closed my eyes and did a quick prayer before the judge sentence Hezekiah.
"Hezekiah, I sentence you to ten years. You may be dismissed" The judge said. I ran up to the front. I grabbed his face and kissed his lips. "I love you ma be strong" He said as the officers pulled him away "Tell my kids I love them" He yelled out before he disappeared behind the doors
"It's going to be okay" Court said giving me a hug.
Levi and Madelyn walked up to me "Call me if you ever need anything" Levi said. I nodded my head
"Where you been at" J asked me soon as I walked into the house. I sighed placing my purse on the counter "I went to Hezekiah sentencing" I said. "Why are you always worried about. Got damn are you in a relationship with me or him" He snapped
I ignored his rude ass comment "Jason he is the father of my kids. I have the right to know if he's okay" I said "He hasn't been a father to them. I have!" Jason said raising his voice
"You can leave if you going to use that tone with me" I said calmly. "Bet" He said grabbing his keys. I put my face in my hands as I heard the door slam
"Mommy" Kj said coming into the kitchen. I quickly got myself together "Hey baby" I said fixing him a bowl of cereal
I fixed Aubrey a bowl of cereal. "Y'all getting old on mommy" I said. My babies fourth birthday is two weeks away. I put their bowls in the sink then I took a seat in the middle of them.
"Mommy" Both of them said as I cut the t.v off. "Listen mommy have to talk to you" I said
"Daddy made some bad decisions and it cost him his freedom" I said to the twins "What does that mean?" Kj asked
"Daddy is not going to be around for awhile" I said
I talked to them for about five minutes till they understood everything that I was saying. I picked up my phone and seen Jason didn't call me back
"When you going to let J cut your hair?" I asked Kj as I brushed his hair "Umm never" He said "Why not" I said picking up him putting him on my lap
"I love my hair" Kj said. After a hour of trying to get the twins to lay down, I finally did. I stripped out of my clothes and changed into something comfortable
I got in bed and instantly went to sleep
"Mommy wake up" I woke up to Aubrey tapping me "What's wrong?" I asked "Come on" She said grabbing my hand
I saw rose pedals as Aubrey led me out the room down the hall. "Close your eyes" I heard J deep voice say. I closed my eyes as Aubrey and Kj helped me down the stairs
I heard shuffling around before J started talking. "Sage I'm sorry for snapping. You know I just want the best for you and our kids. Your forgive me ma?" He asked. I smiled "I do"
"Open your eyes" He said. I did what I was told. I covered my mouth seeing Will You Marry Me spelled out in rose pedals and J on one knee with Kj next to him
"I can't imagine my future without you. Will you make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?"
