Chapter 8
APRIL’S POV
“How the hell am I a witch?” I was completely confused. I can’t be a damn witch. I don’t look like one, I can’t cast spells, and I have no kind of power within me. This is absurd. He must have been sniffing things with Jenny earlier. That’s the only way to explain it.
I looked up at Jasper hoping he would explain further but instead he was laughing. I mean he just fucking laughed right there. What was so funny? Cause I sure as hell would like to know. “I’m sorry April but witches all look the same. They don’t look old and nasty. That’s just what humans make them look like. Witches are of pure beauty. You will turn 18 and you will be at that age forever. Men will want to do anything for you.”
“Please tell me you’re joking. I’m not in the mood for this today. I mean I have a ball to go to tonight with Austin, and I really don’t want to go. Why are you joking with me? I hate jokes like this.” I jumped onto my horse and sped out of the clearing we were in. The horse stopped suddenly and began to shift under me. I fell onto the floor, confused of what the hell just happened.
I looked around for the horse and it wasn’t there. Instead a woman stood there. She held out a hand to me but I just stared at it. She rolled her eyes. “Come now April. I won’t hurt you.”
“Yea I’m just going to take the hand of a lady who was just a horse. Everybody does it right?” I rolled my eyes and started crawling backwards.
“Well do you want me to introduce myself or are you just going to keep backing up until you crash into the tree behind you.”
I stopped moving and heard a rustling noise. It was Jazz in his horse form. He shifted and stood next to the girl. “April meet Jenna. She is your guardian. She has watched over you through spirit since you were born.”
I stared at them as I got off the floor. My eyes never left theirs. “Can we go back now? I have to get ready for this ball and I need to explain all of this to Austin before I lose my mind.” They nodded and Jenna shifted into a horse again as Jasper shifted into a wolf. This is so damn confusing.
As we rode back I thought to myself. If I’m a witch then I can do spells and such. That is so awesome. I mean come on. Unlimited power, sexy witch outfits, and two people who are here to protect me. Cool!
When we got back to the stable Austin, Hannah, Lily, Keri, and everyone else in the house were there waiting. I jumped off of Jenna’s back and was immediately swept up in Austin’s arms. He kissed me all over the face until I pushed him away.
“Sorry April. When the girls told me that you didn’t come back from the ride I thought you were hurt. Are you ok?”
“I’m as fine as a newborn witch.”
“What?” Jenna started shifting next to me and Austin’s jaw dropped. He looked at me.
“You’re a witch?”
“Just found out in the forest. Weird right?”
Austin grabbed me and kissed me hard on the lips. I wrapped my arms and legs around him and moaned. Someone cleared their throat but we ignored it. He pressed me against the wall and groaned as I grinded against him. Someone pulled us away from each other and noticed that it was Jasper and Jenna. I sighed but jumped on Austin’s back. He smiled back at me and in a flash we were back in our room.
He threw me on the bed and kissed me right away. We moaned, groaned and grinded into each other until there was a knock on the door. Austin ignored it as he kissed down my chest. I moaned again but before we could have some real fun the door burst open. We both looked up to see Hannah, Kerri, Lily, and Jenna staring at us with shocked expressions. Austin sighed and got off of me.
“Um sorry to disturb you two…” Hannah said as she smiled evilly. “It’s time for us to get ready for the ball. We have 2 hours and you still need a dress. So get off of the bed and let’s get going.”
I groaned and curled into Austin. “I don’t want to leave right now. I want to stay.”
“I know but you have to. It’s not really an option, babe.”
“What is this thing for anyways, Austin?”
“Well we are introducing you and the girls into the world of vampires and you get to meet my parents.”
“Great… Well I’ll leave then.” I got off the bed and walked toward the group of girls. I waved Austin goodbye and prepared for one of the most dreading things to me: A ball, a dress, and a pair of heels.
