Roy's POV
It's another day in Central. I walk into my office, do my paperwork, then go home. Then it all changes the next day. I got a call from Hughes. It was apparently an emergency because he made called him through and outside line. Damn it Maes! I don't have time for anymore of your stories related to your daughter! "Maes. What is it this time?" I said. There was complete silence. "Hughes?" Then the phone was hung up. What the hell? Then Riza storms into my office. "Sir. Something bad happened." She said. "What happened?" I asked. "I'm not sure. The woman who was working up front told me she saw Hughes go outside, trying to tell you something." She said. I was a bit worried. Not much though, Hughes wouldn't be that stupid to get himself killed, would he? More soldiers came in. "What's happening?" I asked. "It's Hughes! We found him at the phone booth. He's. He's dead." One of the soldiers said. My face turned pale in pure shock. I didn't want to see, but I did. I looked out the window and saw them pick up Hughes from the phone booth. I turned making sure I couldn't see anymore of it. It made me sick to my stomach. Riza looked at my pale face. "Sir." I looked at her. "Is it okay if I go home?" I asked. "Yes sir. We know you must be hurting." I walked out not responding, making sure no one saw me about to cry. I went home and laid in bed. I cried so hard. One of my most trusted allies has been killed. My flame. I could feel it slowing dying out. I no longer felt like the flame colonel. The flame colonel I am no longer. This flame is being extinguished. And it might never be lit again.
First chapter is done! Sorry for bringing up this painful moment! I know that you guys might cry, I know I will... When I write the next chapter...
