The Saved Flame

Roy's POV
A year has passed. Riza and I are still together and as a matter of fact, it's a special day because it's our anniversary. I thought of an amazing idea. We didn't do anything too special. I went back to work alongside Riza, and everyone eventually found out about our relationship and my team cheered me on. Except for Havoc. I was shocked he didn't say anything. He was my other most trusted ally. I wonder why? Anyways, after work we went back to my place. Riza decided to live with me. She already had her stuff moved in here about a month ago. I had set something up last night while Riza was asleep. I decided that now was the best time. I came up to her and hugged her from behind. I talked to her a little. Asking if she was tired or if she wanted to do anything for our anniversary. She said no to both and then that's when I told her. "Hey I have to show you something." I covered her eyes I led her to the backyard. I uncovered her eyes and there were rose petals on the ground that led to the bench that was there. There was a picture of us and lighter next to it. "Roy, why is there a lighter near the picture?" I grabbed the lighter. "Because it represents you. You light me up. You made my flame burn forever. You are the reason why I'm not dead right now. It's all you. You are the woman that I want to be with for my whole life." I got down on one knee, and reached for my pocket and held a small box. "Riza Hawkeye, will you do me the honor, of being the light that leads through my darkness, and marry me?" She gasped. "Yes. I will." She said with slight tears in her eyes. I put the ring on her finger and hugged her. I gave her a passionate kiss. "I love you Riza. Nothing will ever change that." I told her. "Same here Roy. I love you too. I can't imagine my life without you." She said. After that we headed back inside. I wanted to make things a little more romantic so I pinned her against the wall. I kissed all over her upper body. On her lips, her neck. I bit her ear a little, licking it in the process. The mood felt right. She felt the same way I did. We couldn't keep our hands to ourselves. We headed for our room and closed, and locked the door. The next day, we got up and realized it was our day off. We told our team about the marriage situation. I told Havoc and he didn't say a word. He just gave me this look, a look that I didn't like. I walked away and wondered why he acted this way. I wonder? Anyways, we finished telling the necessary people about us, and headed back home. I asked Riza about Havoc. She told me something. "Oh I think Havoc likes me. He's always so flirtatious towards me. It's kinda weird." I looked at her. "Well Riza. If he lays a finger on you. He'll be sorry. I'll burn that man alive!" She chuckled a little. "You know you don't need to protect me. I've got my own tricks up my sleeve." I calmed down a little. "You're right." We sat down on the couch and just stayed there until she fell asleep. She rested her head against my shoulder. I rubbed her back, making her wake up. I whispered to her so that I didn't startle her. "Let's get to bed okay?" She looked up at me with half tired eyes. She nodded and rubbed her eyes. We walked together to our room. We laid down. We faced each other. I started to close my eyes until I heard Riza say something. "Roy." She said. "What is it my love?" I asked. "Did I save you from your dark eternity? Are you okay now?" I smiled at her. "Yes you did. Thank you. I'm okay now. I'm still a bit sad about Hughes, but I try not to get to deep into thought about it. You saved me Riza...
...thank you..."

Yay! It's over now! It was actually one of my shorter stories but I still enjoyed writing it. I may not do an author's note after this so... Yeah. I kinda wish this last chapter was my longest, but this length is fine. Anyways. I feel like since there's this thing going on with Havoc, that maybe a could make a sequel on this book. Who knows. Maybe I will maybe I won't. If I do though I'd want to do it after I've made a few more stories. That's it! See you in the next story I make! Bye!
