Chapter Thirteen
"I just don't understand," Asher groaned, pacing the lounge on the top floor of the dormitory, the one that everyone else knew to never enter.
Jasper looked up from the papers he was reading, annoyance clear on his sharp features.
"Now is the time you really need to stop talking."
"But she's just... she's so..."
Silas threw a pen at Asher, looking half amused and half bored. "Seriously, shut the fuck up. We get it, you hate her. You're not the one dating her."
Jasper nodded at Silas and went back to the papers. Asher muttered under his breath, and sat back down.
"Besides, she's not even that bad. She's kinda funny."
Jasper whipped his head to Silas. "What?"
"Woah, chill. I'm not making a move on your girl. I've just run into her a few times."
Jasper opened his mouth like he wanted to say something. He wanted to deny that Gabrielle was 'his girl', he wanted to agree with Asher and join in with his bitching session. But he couldn't do that, of course.
Instead he just kept reading the papers.

"I just don't understand," Imogen hissed, throwing herself onto Gabrielle's bed.
Gabrielle raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms, unimpressed with the interruption.
"Well, I mean of course I understand why you'd do him. I mean, have you seen that boy?!" Gabrielle cleared her throat and Isobel's mouth formed a small 'o'. "Right, sorry. But it's true."
"Imogen, this really isn't any of-"
"But to date? To physically and mentally want to spend time with him? He's so... dark."
Gabrielle laughed, even though nothing about this situation was funny. "I'm not exactly the warmest ball of sunshine to walk this earth either."
Imogen nodded in agreement. "Okay, yes, but you don't date!"
"Things change. You get to know people and things change." The words sounded fake, even to Gabrielle herself.
"When the fuck have you gotten to know Jasper Thornton?" Imogen scoffed.
"Look, if you came here to judge every life decision I make, then thank you for your concern but you may leave," Gabrielle dodged, turning around and pretending to be busy.
There was silence for a moment.
"Gabby, I just worry about you. You've been acting really strange and really... angry. I know you have a lot on, but you can talk to me."
Gabrielle closed her eyes, guilt hitting her hard. She never lied to Imogen.
"I know. I just need you to accept that I," she winced to herself as she said this, "I like Jasper, and I want to be with him."
She turned around, watching Imogen's reaction. The blonde nodded slowly, and smiled widely.
"Okay, if that's what you want, then I support you 100%."
"Thank you," Gabrielle exhaled.
"So... Have you guys slept together yet?"
"Imogen. Leave."
Thank you so much to everyone reading this and giving it a chance!!
I hope you're all having a lovely day xx
