Chapter 10 "Queenly Idea"

 As Rosa sat in the bath, she let out a frustrating grunt. Why did he had to laugh. No man had ever laughed at her before. Yet, never had she been so stupid or embarrass in her life. Horseback riding was a mistake. She now remembered why she didn't like it. It didn't come naturally, like it did Ella. With the thought of Ella, she let out an exhale. Ella will never be his. At least Rosa had pleasure at knowing that. Yet, even though the prince will soon be her husband, it seemed that he didn't like her, which was odd because men in this town had always line up for her. Yes, the prince flirted with her, but it felt force, like he had to. It annoyed her to no end. When the king said that the prince had a passion for horses as a boy, she leap for the chance at riding. Now she is hit with the outmost humiliation. 

 She dumped her muddy, blond her into the water and sighed in complete frustration. She almost thought the prince might have feeling for dear Ella, but Rosa let that thought go with a laugh as she pulled her head back up. What man in his right mind would have feelings for that poor girl. She was nothing, which Rosa and her mother made sure of. Ella and the prince haven't even had a complete conversation that she knew of and she knew for sure that he didn't have lustful feelings for her in all her disgusting servant rags.  No, Rosa just has to try harder. After all, she's dealing with a royal man now.

 Once she got all the muck of her and clear out of the dirty tub, she put on a clean dress with new found determination. The only way to show the prince that she is worthy is to start thinking like a queen herself and not like all the other flirtatious women who is willing to bed him.  She new how to do this to as she looked into the mirror to adjust her dress to show more cleavage. She put an extra coat of makeup on and then she walked out her bedroom door.  

 She walked down the stairs in heated steps as she came to parlor. She sat down next to the prince on the couch, while both her mother and king sat in chairs opposite them. All eyes turned to her as she sat down. She turned to the prince who gave her a tight smile, but she shrugged of her hurt feelings as faced the king.

 "My son told me of your accident horseback riding" the king said. "Thank goodness it was only mud that feel upon you and nothing physically harmful."  He gave her a sympathy smile, which she found was even worst then the prince tight one. 

 "Well..." She looked at her mother to see her with hard, narrow eyes. Her mother was obviously furious at her performance this afternoon. After all, she was furious with herself too. She looked down at her lap in defeat as she said to the king. "It was indeed a horrendous experience."

 The king let out a chuckle. "Don't we all have those experiences. Even those with advance abilities."

 Just then her mother spoke up. "Right you are your highness." But even though she sad this, Rosa could still see the disapproving in her eyes as she glanced at her.

 With this being said, The king eyes glinted as he said. "I still remember the time Ayden accidently tripped over his own feet coming down the stairs and fell over the queen of the dark kingdom. It was an awkward three days of the other royal family company."

 Just then the prince started laughing. "I was eight father, eight!"

 "He was a clumsily boy at that."  The king said, laughing along with him. 

 Rosa's and her mother's eyebrows raised as they just looked at them, not knowing how to handle a situation like this.  Rosa was really surprise the king was so confronting on telling them, while the prince didn't care that he was basically getting made fun of by this.
