Ibn Abbas(R.A) reported that Allah's messenger(S.A.W) said:
"When he saw a donkey which had been branded on its face passing, "Allah(S.W.T) curses the one who does this!Have I not forbidden doing this(mutilating branding)?"
In another version, " Allah(S.W.T) has cursed the one who branded it!" In yet another version , Jabir(R.A) reported that Allah's Messenger(S.A.W) forbade stricking the face and branding on face .(sahih muslim)
