I looked out my window, it was a dark day, rain pouring down. A car pulled up infront of my neighbour's house, it was very mysterious, my neighbour passed away long ago, they must be the new neighbours.

Just then, I saw her. She had her hair tied up and wore a hoodie over it, I did not get a good glimpse of her face when she came out of the car. She wore a black hoodie, Jeans and a pair of white Vans. Her big framed glasses brought out her cheeks as she ran through the pouring rain to the trunk of the car and helped a lady with the boxes, I assumed the lady was her mom.

The next morning, I was late for school, I simply did not bother much about my hair, I knew it was a mess, but its school, no one would even give a damn.

"Bye mom, I am late so i won't be eating and-" I got cut off by my mom.

"Sweetheart, can you send Lily to school?" Lily? Who the hell was that? Then she continued, "Lily is the girl next door, you get permission to use my car,".

"Mom, I am more than thrilled to use your car instead of cycling, but she just moved here, it's not my fault,".

"Lucas Brooklyn Cross. I know making new friends is not the top of your adventure list, but can't you just do this one thing for me? She is our new neighbour and I would really want her to feel welcomed,".

I can't do much to pursuade my mom especially since I AM LATE FOR SCHOOL. So I said...

"Give me the keys,".

*Lily's point of view*

My mom made me get a ride to school, here's the kicker, the weirdo is driving me, the weirdo being my neighbour.

"Hop in, sorry you had to wait," He spoke, I simply nod and got in.

The ride to school was long and quiet, I didn't mind, I just want to understand the route to school and then I can never be in this situation again tomorrow. We pulled up infront of the school, and I mumbled thanks, hoping he heard it so I don't have to repeat it, I'm not going to lie, I'm too shy to make friends. He walked beside me and said "You're welcome" which tells me he heard it, at that moment my brain let out a sigh of relief and i begun walking into the halls of the school.

"Here's your locker, I hope you have a great day, Lilian.." he stretched.

"Lilian Michelle, just call me Lily," I smiled.

"Alright Lily, I hope you have a great day ahead, anyway, I gotta go, I will see you after class and I can give you more tour of the school?" he looked at me with hope, I could not deny, his dark brown orbs has a way to make the bravest girl shy.

"Sure," he was about to walk away when I stopped him, "Hey, I did not manage to get your name."

He grinned, "Caleb, Caleb Frost."

Caleb Frost, I swore I heard that name somewhere before, or seen it. Just then, clumsy me walked into someone.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to-" He looked down and got a better glimpse, "Lily, shit, I'm seriously sorry, are you okay?"

He pulled me up with no trouble, damn that guy is strong, "I'm fine," I said it coldly before pushing past him to class.

*Lucas' point of view*

I was walking to my mom's car, it was after school, I was thinking about Lily at that moment, wondering how she was gonna get home, then Caleb pulled up infront of her and asked if she needed a ride.

"Lily, I can drive you home," I offered as I walked up to her.

She shook her head and spoke, "No need," then walked to Caleb's car, I could sense him grinning. Oh Lily, look what have you got yourself into, and guess who is going to save you.
