Song: Passenger -Let Her Go

-

*Lucas' point of view*

It's been 2 days since I confronted Lily, and one day before Allison goes back to Mississipi and she has been in my house since this morning, we're currently watching Teen Wolf, her favourite show, not mine. Too gory in my opinion. But I have to let her be happy before I break up with her.

"Okay, Season 5 episode 20, leggo, last episode too," she chirped, "what's wrong?"

"Allison..there is no easy way to say this. But, I'm breaking up with you," I paused, "Ally?"

"I-I have to go..." she stood up and walked out the door. I looked out my window, my heart felt heavy, but my mind was telling me, what I did was right.

-

"Lucas, Luke!" my mom shook me awake, I shot up.

"Mom, what's wrong?"

"Allison...she got into a car accident," she broke into tears and the next part she spoke was kinda in pieces, "she was....sad....drinking...driving...car...hit..."

"Mom, calm down, do you have the address of the hospital?" I asked.

"Saint.....saint Peter's," she calmed down a little, "go."

-

I drove, every time I stop at the stoplight, I remember all the times Allison had done her make up every time we stopped at the stop lights, she'd try her best to make herself pretty, but she was already so gorgeous. But, that was before she changed. I reached Saint Peter's in forty-five minutes, and holy shit. It hit me as I parked in front of the hospital, it was closed down long ago, what the hell was going on here. Just then, I saw her, Lily, inside, strapped to a chair, mouth taped, unconscious, blood, scars, everywhere. Lily....then, a figure appeared. Allison.

"ALLISON! Stop what you're doing!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, banging the glass doors that were locked by chains and a padlock, the ringing echoed through the dark forest and the walls of the dark empty hallway of the hospital.

"Lucas, I loved you so much," she held a knife and brought it to Lily's throat, I banged the door again. Harder. Trying to shatter the glass, but to no avail, "but, since you don't love me anymore..."

A tear escaped from the corner of Allison's eye, she slit Lily's throat, enough to bleed, "if I can't have you..."

This time, I couldn't take it anymore, I wrapped my fist quickly with my shirt and punched the glass, sure enough, it shattered. I ran in, trying to snatch the knife from Allison before she hurts Lily, then suddenly, the knife she held changed direction. Allison stabbed herself. Blood gushing out of her stomach, I held her in my arms, tears began rolling down my cheeks.

"Allison, I did love you, so much my darling. But did you?" I kissed her forehead, it hurt. Hurt to see someone you once adored now in your arms. Dying. Because you loved them too much once upon a time.

"All I wanted to hear was those words," Allison breathed in to say something again, "I love you."

Holding her, I hugged her tightly. It seems like a forever since I told her I loved her and hugged her so tight. I carried Allison to my car and tried to cover her wound with my shirt, and then going back to untie Lily, I knew if I drove Allison to the nearest hospital, there is a slim chance for her survival. But, it'll do. I can't let her die, not if it's my fault.

-

"I'm sorry," Lily broke the silence. We were in the hospital, the nearest one I could find in my GPS. Allison was brought to the emergency room, while the nurses helped Lily, we were now waiting for news about Allison.

"There's nothing to be sorry about, this was not your fault. It was mine," she looked puzzled, "if I agreed to go to Mississippi with her, this wouldn't have happened. In fact, I should say sorry to you, you got injured cause of me."

"No."

"No?"

"I'm not sorry cause of whose fault it was. I was sorry cause I know how it felt to loose someone you love," Lily looked down and played with her bracelet, "bet it feels like you were the one that got stabbed. Your emotions are all mixed up. And your heart, it doesn't feel the need to beat every second anymore. Cause the one that has your heart beating every day. Well, they are gone."

"Now I'm sorry. Look, after this, we are going to put this whole damn thing behind us. But I still want to be your friend, so, let's get back to the list."

"Lucas, after today, you are my close friend, especially since you just lost your girlfriend."

"Lily, it's not about the friendship, it's the list. I see you reading it and smiling to yourself, like that list was your bucket list."

"That's cause it is," she reasoned, I chuckled a bit.

"Then we're gonna do every damn one," this time, we smiled together. Lily does this to me, even in the worst situation, she still manages to make me smile.

-

"Miss Black's relatives. Calling for miss black?" the doctor yelled.

"Me, I'm her...friend, I informed her family, but they're in Mississippi and still on their way here," I explained to the doctor.

"Miss Black is suffering from depression, did she or her family tell you that?" the doctor asked, I was shocked, but how? "her wound is curable, but it would take a long time, and would cost a lot, but as for her illness, I think it would be better if her family take her to see a therapist in Mississippi, since it would be convenient for her. But as of now, she would have to stay here for her treatment."

"Thank you doctor, I will be sure to convey the message to her family," I sat there again, waiting for the Black family to arrive so I can tell them the news on Allison.
