Julia isn't content with life. All her life her parents have pushed her to have a plan for her future. To have a career and family set out. To the world it would look like she has done just that but she knows she hasn't. She doesn't have a clue what she wants to do, she doesn't have the motivation to search for something to aspire for so he does what her parents tell her. Overall she isn't happy, she's lost.

Julia's parents aren't necessarily strict. They just don't understand that forcing goals onto someone who doesn't want them is a pointless act. The likes of Julia won't listen, they'll just put on a smile and nod along agreeing to whatever is put in front of them. That is until she musters the courage to break out.

Julia managed to get away from the life that was planned for her. All because of Jonathan, another sad teen but one who had found the joy in life. When he smiled it wasn't fabricated like Julia's and that's what enticed her.

Jonathan didn't know where he was going with life either, but he did know that whatever he did he had to enjoy it and make the best of the time he has on this earth. So he partied, snuck out for nights in the woods and tried getting high. Just to get away from the mundane, monotonous lifestyle that he'd lived so far.

When Julia first saw Jonathan, who was leaning against a pole in the community centres rickety bike shed with a cigarette hanging from his lips and a smile on his face. She was amazed. He was the first person in the town who looked happy. Truly happy.

So Julia did something out of character. Walked right up to him a sporting nervous smile and shaky hands.

"Hi, are you new here. I haven't seen you before?" Julia asked. Curious as to why he'd never seen this boy before when she'd lived in the same small town for we whole life. Jonathan's smile grew wider.

"Nah, lived here forever. Seen you around actually... Just had a haircut and bought some new clothes. Julia Roberts right?" Jonathan chuckled before plucking the cigarette out of his mouth and holding it out to Julia. "My names Jonathan, want the rest?" He asked.

Julia hesitated. Smoking was something her parents definitely wouldn't allow. Eyeing the cigarette she shook her head. Jonathan gave her a sad smile.

"You're never going to be happy if you don't learn to live. Remember that Roberts." Then he placed the half smoked cigarette in her small hands and left without another word.

Julia raised it to her mouth. Choking slightly because she inhaled the smoke wrong. She didn't particularly enjoy it, however she did enjoy the thrill of doing something new. Something wild.

After that Julia began to live for herself. She made new friends and went out more. Even travelled to the next town across to go to a bar. She never saw Jonathan again. Julia was thankful she saw him once though and if she saw him again she made a promise to give him a pack of cigarettes. As a thank you.

Because now Julia isn't a sad teen with a 'Happy face'. She's Julia Roberts. And she's real.
