DALLON//
I stayed a bit after Spanish lesson. Mister Fuentes and I were the only ones left there. It was the morning break, and I had no one to stay with; I'd rather not cross path with the jocks. Forget that. I wasn't avoiding them, just one: Brendon. It was really frustrating to try and never get in the same place as the person you crush on, believe me. I put my books in my bag, feeling dizzy. It only was the first day, and I was already acting all sad and lonely and unloved. Ugh. If only Brendon wasn't that much of a prick, and so... well, straight. He barely acknowledged my existence, and only because at some point I tripped over him at lunch last year. It was the worst moment of my existence. I hid in the bathrooms the whole day, after that, with Tyler outside trying to convince me I could actually put myself in public again. Ever since, I was terrified of doing something stupid around him. I'm just too awkward to take part in this society. I took my glasses off, and massaged the bridge of my nose. What made me the most upset was to see Brendon with his girlfriend. Sarah is pretty much a top model, with her black hair, her bright blue eyes and her endless legs. I hate her so much. She's also really nice and caring, which makes it worse. I'm sure she hides something. Ashley says she's an alien, and she's gonna abduct Brendon and leave someday. Ash is crazy, but I swear Sarah is too fucking sweet.
As I was ruminating my jealousy, I heard a knock at the door. Mister Fuentes got up and opened, then smiled widely. The maths teacher, Mister Quinn, was there with two cups of coffee. He shifted awkwardly on his feet, handing one of the cups.
"Good morning, Victor. I knew you were there so I thought..."
"That's really sweet, Kellin." Mister Fuentes answered, sipping from the cup. I wasn't sure from where I was sitting, but it looked like mister Quinn blushed.
"Um... Are you free tonight? I wondered if maybe you would... you know... there's this Mexican place I wanted to try..."
I started feeling bad for him. He was at least as awkward as me. Mister Fuentes was grinning.
"I'd love to, Kellin. Hope it's good though, I'm really exigent on Mexican food!" He laughed. The maths teacher looked so relieved. "Awesome. Great. I'll see you tonight then. Does 7 sound okay?"
They looked adorable, I'm not gonna lie. That was good gossip to tell Ashley, too.
"Perfect. See you tonight, Kells." Mister Quinn blushed even more at the nickname. He smiled again and muttered that he had a class to teach, before practically running away. Mister Fuentes shook his head and went back to his desk, emptying the coffee cup.
"See you tomorrow, sir" I said while going past him. He looked terrified to see me. I wanted to laugh, but it wouldn't have been nice.
"Dallon. Did you... Did you hear, um...?" I flailed my arm, in a "whatever" gesture. "Don't worry, sir. You look cute together." I said above my shoulder, before turning at the corner and running to Music.
