We Will Be Safe Again

"HOW THE HELL DID YOU SURVIVE?!" was the only question Lui and Delirious had. I motioned towards Scotty. "Thank the FourZer0Sevan. With out him id probably be monster chow." "I didn't do much... I just found him. We had a guy who was a doctor. And he fixed Evan up. I happened to be at his side when he woke up. Then him me and Panda left. I'm surprised Ohm didn't ask to join us." I nodded in agreement. I offered him to come. But he declined. "But. At least we're almost all together. This place seems like a great place to have as a base. I really like it here and besides. It has a fireplace. We can cook." "Evan. Waht about the large windows? They can be shot into easily." "Armor them up. We can make this place safe. And in the spring we can grow food outside. And in the winter, in here in the big flower bed right over there. This place seems to perfect to give up." Everyone agreed and we started to fix the place up.

We decided to turn back and look for the guys. We wanted to know if they were alive or not. "Do you think there's a chance that they're all together?" Marcel asked. "Yeah. I think there is. We're gonna find them."

We stopped at a gas station amd filled up with what was left there. Dawn went inside to look for feminine products. Mini helped me and Marcel. We heard something break inside the store. "Dawn!" Craig yelled. We stopped and went inside. When we saw it Craig puked. "Marcel...? Get Craig the hell out." I said. She didn't even have time to scream. I thought as I looked at Dawn. Her head was taken clean off. I looked at the trap she had stepped in. It was complicated. I shook my head. I could hear mini sobbing outside. I stood up and grabbed the gear Dawn had and went outside. "We should go..." I said. "W-What about Dawn?" Craig asked. "We dont know if there are anymore traps in there. We can risk our safety to bury her. I'm sorry. I didn't get to bury my girl either." I said. I wonder what happened to Evans girl. When we got out of the bus. She was nowhere to be seen. I doubt Even even has had a chance to grieve over her. I doubt he's had much time to do anything. "Hey... Tyler... look. Up there. On the mountain. The lodge. The chimney. Its smoking. There is someone in there." Marcel said. "Think its the crew?" As we drove we got a different angle and saw a huge Delirious mask painted on the side. "Yes." Mini said. "That is definitely Delirious." I nodded and we started to drive up the mountain.

(Delirious)

"Guys! Car coming up the south side of the mountain!" I yelled down from my look out point. I watched as Evan Lucia and Lui grabbed weapons. And Jodi joined me in the lookout tower. I looked through the scope at the driver. "Is... that.... Wildcat?" Jodi looked through her binoculars and said "Oh my god. Mini and Marcel too. Where is Dawn though?" I shrugged. "Somthing must have happened to her." I said. "Guys! It Tyler! And the rest!" Everyone seemed to calm down. I climbed down from my post and went outside. They packed and got out. "Tyler! Mini! Marcel! Glad you guys are ok! Come on in. We got some Hot Chocolate. It's good." Everyone seemed to wind down. Amd relax. Maybe we can live happily ever after now.

I gave Tyler Mini and Dawn a hug. I then realized... Mary isnt with them. Which made my heart sink. She was gone too huh. Another person I cared about lost to a cruel world. But... at least I'm now surrounded by my friends.

Time skip two years later

(Delirious)

As we celebrated our daughter's birthday we heard loud noises. We all ran out to see soldiers. Marching up the mountain. We hid all our weapons and food. The commanding officer knocked on the door. Evan answered it. "Who is the leader of this small group." He asked. Evan darted a scared look at me. He let the soldier in. "I am." I said. I had my mask on. And I was sharpening the only weapon visible. My machete. "Your not here to hurt us are you?" I said in a menacing voice. The soldier shook his head. "We are here to take you back to civilization. Washington DC has been liberated from the dead and so have a few places up and down the coast. Would you care to join us? But if you do you will have to turn in all your guns. You will be allowed to keep any melee weapon you have." He then must have seen Sam who was hiding behind me. "And. You can raise a family. In peace of mind that no harm will come to her." I felt Sam hiding her face in my back. I looked at Jodi. Then to Lui, Tyler, Craig. They all seemed to agree on one thing. "Lets go."

We will be safe again.
