Cassie's pov
I woke up to the sun shining in my eyes and my mother screaming at Grandma Orchid's painting. I rolled my eyes and sat up, grabbing my glasses. I smiled as I slid out of bed and skipped over to my muggle calender. In big purple letters on the day 21 was 'My Birthday!' My 11th birthday. I am officially able to go to Hogwarts: School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. "Cassandra! Get up you ungrateful little brat!" My Aunt Rose screamed from the living room. I rolled my eyes and walked over to my closet to change. I grabbed my purple and red dress that my Aunt choose for me to wear. I put it on and slipped on my favorite boot that have skulls on the heels and made my way downstairs. I stepped into the living room and walked up to grandma's painting. "Such a beautiful young lady you are! And that dress! You'll have all the boys swooning." Grandma Mahogany said. I smiled and said my thanks and sat down. "Good morning my little flower. How did you sleep?" My father said from his seat next to the fireplace. "Really good, father!" I said urgently, wanting to open my Hogwarts letter. I heard a knock on the door and dashed to answer it. I opened the door to see the Black Family. "Siri! Reg! Cissy! Bella! Droma!" I yelled and hugged each of them. Bella huffed but hugged back while Cissy and Droma picked me up and spun me around then set me down. I dragged Sirius and Regulas to the living room and quickly grabbed the present I got both of them since I missed Regulas' birthday and Sirius' birthday. They smiled and handed me their presents for me. I opened Sirius' and saw it was a painting of him and I laughing with me on his back. I smiled and hugged him then opened Regulas'. I opened the present and saw that it had a beautiful ring and necklace. The necklace was a steel like color and heart shaped with many little designs while the ring had a gold band with some sort of blue jewel in the middle.
I smiled again and put the ring on and turned around so he could put the necklace on me. Once he was done I hugged him. I then saw my family owl, Sage, carrying four letters. Our Hogwarts letters!

I woke super early this morning because it was the day I go to Hogwarts. I smiled and got ready. I took a quick shower and threw on my favorite t-shirt that says 'Chubby Single and Ready for a pringle' that I got my father two months ago on my birthday, my black skinny jeans, my favorite boots that have skulls on them, and grabbed my messenger bag that has the British flag on it. I picked up my shrunken trunk (courtesy of my Father) and slipped it into my messenger bag and skipped downstairs for breakfast. Once we were done, with some hate on my outfit choice, we left and arrived at Kings Cross Train Station. Once we got onto the platform we started to say our goodbyes. "You better get into Ravenclaw or Gryiffindor! Or else you'll be a disgrace to the noble house of Eldridge!" My mother fussed. I rolled my eyes and nodded. "Goodbye sweetheart! I love you and have an amazing time" my father said while hugging me and kissing forehead. I giggle and said, "I love you too dad! And I will! Bye!" Then ran off to get on the train. I stepped into an empty compartment and sat down. I pulled out my muggle phone that my dad bought me and put in the plug for my headphones. As I was choosing a song Sirius and a boy with messy black hair and chunky black glasses, similar to mine, walked in. "Hey can we sit here with you, Cassie?" Sirius asked. I nodded and put on my headphones, pushing back one side so I could talk to them. "James Potter is the name, call me Jay and I will hurt you!" The other boy said holding out a hand. I laughed, pulling him into a bro hug. "I'm Cassandra Eldridge but call me Cassie!" I said smiling. Just then a boy with three scars going across his face knocked on the door and opened it. "May I sit here? Everywhere else is full." He asked looking at us but stopping on my face noticing two scars on my face (One going across my nose, another going from my chin to my ear). We all nodded and introduced ourselves. "I'm Remus Lupin." The new boy said smiling. "So guys did you hear about two werewolves going to Hogwarts?" James said. I stiffened up and from the corner of my eye I saw Remus do the same. "Yeah but that might just be talk." Remus and I said together. "I doubt that but still! I feel bad for them. They probably get hated on and teased. The poor things..." Sirius said while looking down. I smiled a bit. After awhile of us talking we came to the topic of mine and Remus' scars. "How did you two get those scars?" James asked, innocently (for the most part anyways). "Cassie's Aunt Rose hates her and uses spells that cut her up. Cassie told me when I asked about them." Sirius said talking about when we were 6 and he asked. That was the first time I lied to one of my friends about being a werewolf. I let out a sigh an looked down at my now interesting boots. "My mum has a very... untrained cat who hates me." Remus said, looking at me realizing why I sighed and looked down. "That must be upsetting!" James said. "Eh, not really. I'm more of a dog person." Remus said with a smirk. I snorted and started laughing. "I could say the same! My Aunt Rose's cat absolutely 'hates' me." I said with the same joke in mind. Remus just then died laughing with me following, leaving Sirius and James confused.

Once the students arrived they all got off the the train. The young first year slowly gathered up in front of a giant (to them at least) man, of whom was calling fir first years. The man had yelled out a few moments ago about 4 people to a boat while guiding them to the boats. The four new friends got into a boat and watched as a young red haired girl who was followed by a young greasy haired boy who was made fun of by the four friends before while on the train. Once they all exited the boats They were all taken up to the beautiful castle ahead of them. They all entered the large building and were told to wait by a woman in green. As they entered the Great Hall, all four long tables full of students with the end closest to the teacher's table empty. All the young first years looked in either awe of the beautiful sky like ceiling or in shock of a worn down hat on the stool in front of them. "When I call your name you will come sit on the stool and the sorting hat will sort you. You will then walk over to your house's table. Jacob Bones."
"Hufflepuff"
The three boys and the one girl had been silently ignoring the others as the other children their age were being sorted.
"James Potter"
"Gryffindor!"The all smiled as the young boy had gotten into the house he wanted to be in.
"Sirius Black"
A hush went over every house. The green house being the most quite.
"Gryffindor!"
The shock of what the hat had said made it even more tense as Sirius made his way to his house mates, smiling. "Peter Pettigrew"
"Gryffindor!"A small pudgy boy made his way shaking to the table while smiling.
"Remus Lupin"
"Gryffindor!"Everyone clapped for him but Cassie clapped the most.
"Cassandra Eldridge"
A similar hush went over the crowd as the young girl slowly made her way up to the stool. She sat down and became oddly quiet.

I sat down and waited for the hat to sort me.
"Not a bad mind I see, a bit rough along the edges." The hat said making me jump. "Very smart and cunning. Possibly Ravenclaw or Slyitherin? Very brave and kind. Maybe even Hufflepuff? Or Gryiffindor? Difficult... very difficult" the hat spoke once again. "Ah a prankster I see. Very good friends with Potter and Black! That's a bad combination. A bit sarcastic." "Me? Sarcastic? Never!" I said with my voice dripping of sarcasm. Everyone chuckled at my small joke. "Hmm... perhaps.... maybe... I know! Headmaster's House!" The hat shouted. Everyone gasped, even the lady in green. I looked around at all the tables. "I'M SPHEICAL!" I shouted causing the headmaster to laugh. "Now miss Eldridge. You may sit at any table or up here with the professors and I." Dumbledore said to me. "Gryiffindor please, sir." I said calmly. He nodded and went to the table in which my friends sat at. Well that happened! I thought as I went to sit with my friends.
