The Headmaster's House

Summer after 1st year

Cassie's pov

As we appearated to my new home I instantly fell in love. They were on a huge piece of land, about 19 acres. A farm. I smile and immediately started to run around. A light rain had just started and I was spinning around in it as Remus chuckled at me. His parents ran into the house as Remus joined me in dancing in the rain. Once it became nightfall we made our way into the house to smell many different foods. I looked on the table. Steaks, mash potatoes, cauliflower, corn and salad was spread out across the table along with plates, silverware, and cups. "Mmm! This looks amazing!" I said as I sat down. 'Hmm some tomato juice would be good.' I thought looking at my glass. Then it filled with the juice I had been thinking about. I looked at Remus confused but he laughed. "Mum charmed them to fill with the drink you want. Awesome, isn't it?" He asked as I nodded. Once we all ate dinner Remy and I made our way to our room. There were posters of quotes and an entire wall charmed so you could write anything on it and it would come off when you wanted it to. A queen sized bed was off to the right with a queen sized air mattress next to it. On the left side next to a huge mahogany book case filled with books (muggle and wizarding), stood a handmade willow tree wood desk with an owl perch and a desk lamp. In one of the drawers was open with parchment spilling out with quite a few of quill in it as well. On top of the desk was to letters. One addressed to me and the other to Remus. I looked at Remus and smiled. My things had seemingly been put away while mine and Remus' owls were cuddling in a cage together. I made my way to the desk and grabbed mine and Rem's letter. I tossed Rem his and opened mine while sitting on the desk chair while Remus sat on the air mattress.

Dear Cassie,

It is amazing to finally meet you! Remus could not stop talking about the other werewolf in Hogwarts, of whom was his friend. If you could, please help Remus throughout this? Thank you. My you are very beautiful. And your just as lanky as Remus is. That is no problem. I was also let know of you being in the headmaster's house! You are very smart and brave. I can already tell. Remus also told me that you love to cook and can play guitar. You can always help me in the kitchen and if you look out in the barn, there is a seemingly small room with an extinction charm on it. It has all sorts of instruments for you. Also in there is two big chests. In one it has clothes that I think you'll like. In another it is full of journals, some are full of songs that I wrote; some are empty for you to write some! And please remember you are never a burden in this house. And if need to talk about boys, I can help ;).

I smile and heard Remus chock on his own silva. I looked up to see him holding up something. I looked at it and laughed. It was a condom! "I'm guessing you got a letter from your dad? Cause no mother I know gives their 11 year old son a condom. A 15 year old son, yes. 11 year old, no." I said before going into a giggle fit. "Dad! I'm going to kill you!" Remus yelled taking off out of the room. I heard something crash to the floor and the door slam open. I went out side the room and looked at Delilah. She was laughing really hard while gripping the counter for support. I raised an eyebrow at her. She calm down a bit before pointing towards the open door. I chuckled before running outside. I saw the two males wrestling on the ground and I just laughed and ran past them. I ran into the barn and up the stairs to where the hay was stored and saw a small room. I smiled and went into the room and saw that it was painted a dark purple with a golden phoenix painted along one of the walls. There were two huge rustic chests.

When I opened the first chest there were quite a few dresses in it. I pulled out three dresses I liked. One of them seemed like a wedding dress,



Another was a peach and grey vintage dress that puffed out mid-waist,



And the last one was a navy blue with a white over coat with bluish tint.



Remus entered and smiled as I was looking at the last dress. "You know, that was my mum's favorite dress. Told me she wore it every Christmas until she was pregnant with me." He said sitting down next to me. I grabbed the three dresses and set them on the piano so I would remember to take them down with me. I moved onto the others chest and saw that it was literally filled with journals! I picked up one and saw that it was written in. I read the very first song then sat down at the piano. I started to play the song.

"I've been waiting all my life for this morning. Just to wake up next to you holding me and your head is resting gently on my shoulder. Like you're whispering to me." I sang while Remus Sat on the bench with me, reading the lyrics.

"I'm in love with you. I'm in love with you, so glad I found you. I'm in love with you." I continued.

"When we're leaving dreams and rolling back the covers. All at once we're getting ready for the day." He sang while following the lyrics.

"It's when you look at me in the mirror while you're shaving, before I go on my way, you say;" I sang looking at him before looking back at the page.

"I'm in love with you. I'm in love with you. You're the one I choose, 'Cause I'm in love." We sang not realizing that his mum was just coming into the room with his father not far behind his wife.

"Love is joy and love is pain. It's kissing in the rain. It's doing dishes when it's late, isn't it, baby?" His mum and I sang while she put a hand on my shoulder.

"It's the art of compromise. It's hellos and long goodbyes." His dad joined in while putting an arm around his wife's waist and a hand on his son's shoulder.

"It's the picture of our lives, isn't it crazy?" We all sang. "So I'll call you when I get to where I'm going, and I'll tell everyone we know you said hello. And without fail they'll ask me if I miss you." Remus and I sang.

"Of course I do, you know I do." He and I sang. "'Cause I'm in love with you. I'm in love with you. You're the one I choose, I'm in love. I'm in love with you, I'm in love with you. I love you just the same as I did the day, I fell in love with you." I finished. I smiled up at Delilah and Lyall. "I wrote that about Lyall, sounds better being sang by you though." Delilah said to me then kissing the top of my head. I smiled then we all went back down to the house and went to bed. And that's how I spent my summer. Helping out with farmwork, writing and singing songs, and being with Remus for every full moon.
