Remus' pov

As we all walk back from dinner, Cassie and I talk about where she was sorted. "My mum will be mad. She wanted me to only get in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw!" Cassie said upset. I put my arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer to give her a side hug. "She may be angry but oh well. Your dad won't abandon you by the sounds of it from what you said of him. And if you get kicked out I'm sure my parents will be plenty happy to bring you in to stay with us seeing as we both have the same little problem. It may just help us not get anymore scars for awhile." I said to her as we approached the painting for the Gryffindor tower. "Really? Perfectus Totalus. You sure your parents would do that?" She asked as we entered the common room. I nodded then pulled her up the stairs to our dormitory. I remember when she told me She was staying in both the Gryffindor and Slyitherin boy dorms because 'some girls are annoying'. So this week she stays in Gryffindor and next week Slyitherin. As we went in the dorm, she snapped her fingers then she was in her pajamas. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my night clothes and went into the bathroom. As I came out of the bathroom, Peter went in. James had already changed and was out, Sirius had just finished and was trying to fall asleep, and Cassie was on a muggle phone with a red envelope on her lap. I quickly set muffling charms around her bed and sit down with her. I hold it up and she looks at me scared while setting down her muggle phone. "Together?" I asked her with slight fear in my voice. She nodded scared. We opened the letter and it flew out of our hands.

"Cassandra Venus Amelia Angelina Mahogany Orchid Roseilyn Rosemont Eldridge, you are a disgrace to the noble family of Eldridge! From the day you were born I should have gave you up you little runt! Headmaster's house?! More like house of the mishoused! Don't even think about coming back home! You are a terrible influence on your younger brother getting into a house like that! You dumb little runt! I thought you were smart! You are the worst disgrace to this family! Your things will be sent to you by your father! Have fun living on the streets you little runt!" The letter screamed. Cassie's eyes filled with tears. I pulled her over onto my lap and hugged her. She burried her face into my shoulder as she cried. We stayed like that for an hour. Her crying and me whispering condolences into her ear. She was just finishing her crying and was down to sniffling. She pulled away and faced me. Her eyes red, her face blotchy, and her hair a mess. I wiped away the tears that were falling down her cheeks. I looked at her and thought of a song that she'd like. "There was a time, I used to look into my father's eyes. In a happy home, I was a king, I had a golden throne." I sang looking at her. "Those days are gone, Now the memory's on the wall. I hear the songs, from the places where I was born." I continued. "Upon a hill across a blue lake, that's where I had my first heartbreak. I still remember how it all changed. My father said, 'Don't you worry, don't you worry, child. See heaven's got a plan for you. Don't you worry, don't you worry now.' Yeah! 'Don't you worry, don't you worry, child. See heaven's got a plan for you.
Don't you worry, don't you worry now.' Yeah!" I sang as she sniffled smiling at me. "There was a time, I met a boy of a different kind. We ruled the world, I thought I'd never lose him out of sight. We were so young, I think of him now and then. I still hear the songs, reminding me of a friend. Upon a hill across a blue lake, That's where I had my first heartbreak. I still remember how it all changed." She sang in her sweet voice. "My father said, 'Don't you worry, don't you worry, child. See heaven's got a plan for you. Don't you worry, don't you worry now.' Yeah! Oh, oh, oh! Oh, oh, oh! See heaven's got a plan for you. See heaven's got a plan for you. See heaven's got a plan for You. 'Don't you worry, don't you worry, child. See heaven's got a plan for you. Don't you worry, don't you worry now.' Yeah! Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh! [3x]. Yeah!" We both sang. She looked at me and smiled. "Thanks, Rem." She said hugging me. I hugged back. "Your welcome little wolf." I said as I kissed the top of her head in a brotherly way though I doubt I only meant it as that, then walking over to my bed. We said our goodnights then fell asleep.

Remus' pov

In the middle of the night I woke up to the little wolf thrashing around in her sleep. "No! Don't hurt them!" She yelled waking up James and Sirius. They looked at me and I mouthed for them to get Madame Pompfry and Dumbledore. They nodded and went to get the two adults. I walked over to Cassie and picked her up and sat her in my lap. "No! Not Remus! James! No! Sirius No! Don't leave me!" She yelled out again, with tears streaming down her face. I kept muttering for her to wake up while rocking us back and forth. My heart started to pound and I started to sweat. Both teachers and my friends enter and make their way over to me. Professor Dumbledore tried to take her from my arms, but I growled at him. James and Sirius just stood back and watched everything. "No! Don't leave me! Remus! James! Sirius! No! Please! Please don't leave me!" She cried out thrashing around even more. I started to cry and held onto her tighter. "Mr. Lupin please let Ms. Eldridge go so Madame Pompfry can see what's wrong." Dumbledore said to me. "But she's hurting! My best friend is hurting! I want to help her! I just want to help her." I cried out loosening my grip on Cassie. Pompfry grabs Cassie and carries her down to the hospital wing as fast as she can. I fall to the floor crying while James and Sirius comfort me.

Still Remus' pov

"She had some trauma of something that must have made her upset. Do you three have any Idea of what may have caused this?" Dumbledore asked James, Sirius, and I. James and Sirius shake their heads 'no' while I stay looking at my hands. "Remus?" Dumbledore asks. "Her mother kicked her out and disowned her through a howler. Her and I opened it together. Said along the lines of that "she's a disgrace to the noble Eldridge family." And whatnot." I answered putting my face into my hands. "She cried her heart out. I already owled my mum and dad. She can stay with us." I said to Dumbledore. He nodded and dismissed James and Sirius. "You really care for miss Eldridge don't you? Offering your home to her. Comforting her After she was disowned." Dumbledore said. "Well of course. She's someone who understands what I'm going through every month during a full moon. She and Sirius are the ones who is and may be disowned. But I just want to help her. Protect her. She just needs someone there for her. And that's what James, Sirius, and I are going to do." I said looking up at him. My tearful eyes looking into his wise, older ones. He nodded and let me go see Cassie.
