"We're not normal, but we're not crazy either... We are who we are with expectations of being Xavier and Raine." ~ Cassie Eldridge, 2nd year
Cassie's pov
I woke up in a familiar place. Oh yeah I fell asleep in my music room! I quickly ran out of the barn and to the house. I opened the front door to see Delilah flipping pancakes and Lyall reading the daily prophet. "Morning sweetie, slept well?" Lyall asked taking a sip of coffee. "Of course though I woke up at midnight and couldn't get back to sleep." I said making a plate for myself and grabbing a cup for coffee. "Mmm Hey Cass." Remus yawned as he enter the kitchen. I looked at him and chuckled. "Rem. Shirt." I sang before drinking some coffee. He looked down and cursed and went back to his room and grabbed a shirt. Lyall laughed and finished his coffee before kissing his wife and hugging Remus and I then heading off to work. I quickly finished just as the post came. Two letters addressed to Remus and I. I grabbed my letter then started to get ready. Remus and I's trunks were already packed and put into our messenger bags. I got dressed in a t-shirt that Remus gave me out of the many funny shirts he has that says 'Me? Sarcastic? Never.', a pair of jean shorts, and a pair of black pump boots that I got from Delilah for my birthday. I looked into my messenger bag and saw that I forgot a few things. I grabbed my muggle laptop that Remus got me that has a charm that makes it to where I could use it at Hogwarts (Hogwarts gets like no signal at all), a muggle phone from Lyall with the same charm as the laptop, my headphones, my favorite book (Alegiant), and five journals from my room in the barn (which I had to go run and get). I stuffed them in along with the letter from this morning. I grabbed my bag and went into the kitchen and waited for Remus to get ready. "You excited for this year?" Delilah asked me. I nodded. "Yeah... I've been thinking about singing the song that Remus and I wrote in front of the school. James and Sirius are encouraging us to do it, too." I said to her as Remus finally came out with his things. "Well I know how hard you two worked on it. Maybe you and your friends can start a band! Well let's get there before it gets too crowded." Delilah said before appearating us outside of Kings Cross. We waved goodbye and ran onto the train. We walked to our compartment and saw Peter sitting there. I smiled and hugged him. He smiled, shocked, but hugged back. James and Sirius soon came in and said hello. "So Remus I have a question for you." Sirius said to Remus. "Sirius, no. It's just a suspicion." James interrupted. Remus rolled his eyes but nodded to Sirius. "Are you a werewolf?" Sirius asked him. Remus and I stiffened. We looked at the three boys then looked at each other. We both nodded. Sirius cheered while Remus and I moped. "Hey they both nodded... We only asked if Remus was a werewolf. Cassie? Are you a werewolf too?" James noted and asked. I blushed and my hair turned from rainbow to pink. I nodded and looked down. "You three must want us to move out of the dorm now." I said looking down to my lap, letting a single tear roll down my face. "Yeah... No one wants to sleep in the same dorm as two monsters." Remus said while looking down at his lap. "Remus, you fold your socks forgive me but I'm not trembling at the sight of you." James said making Remus and I laugh. " And Cassie! You read fanfictions and get a single nosebleed from a tiny bit of fluff. I'm not scared of you one bit. And you two aren't going anywhere. We are your friends." Sirius said to us, wiping my tear away. Remus and I smiled the rest of the way to Hogwarts.
