My head throbbed to a beat that had me rethinking my existence, I massaged my temples in hopes to eradicate the headache, I had grown to loathe this room, it was nothing but still silence and solid darkness. I had no idea how long I was here, I hadn't seen the sisters in a long time and it was not helping that from here I couldn't tell day from night.

There were thankfully no serpents or scorpions in this concrete cell, the silence in here was deafening and I felt like screaming at the walls.
This was worst than pin-drop silence, I breathed out a puff of hot air trying to warm myself further than what the cloak could do me for now. It got cold to the extreme and if there was a light here I would probably be as pink as a berry.

The sounds of metals unbolting brought a certain relief to my ears as a figure came in with the light that shone from the corridors.

This person had an aura that had long irritated me, he came forward and if not for my restraints he would have been knocking into the nearest wall.
The smile on his face had me glaring at him as though knives would be darting toward him.

"My, my little witch. I wouldn't suggest any form of violence for your execution awaits you".
I tugged harshly at my sage restraints as I tried to get a hold of him.
"You'll be shocked at the amount of joy that piece of information gives me, I would rather die than to kneel before your Alpha any day!!".

He inclined his head and said
"So be it". His guards trooped into the cell and lifted me by my under-arms and the contact of the leaves made me hiss in pain. My legs dragged on the floor as we passed the series of halls and the flights of steps.

We came to a stop at a large pair of double doors. They towered over us such that if I were on my knees I couldn't reach the handle.

The guards pushed at the doors until they became parallel revealing a congregation that circled around a bare circle, in that circle were the other two cranes, they stood with chins up and eyes bright. They had their pride still radiating off of them.

The guards pushed me forward as I walked majestically to my sisters.
Their Alpha was before us and his dominance loomed over the whole room.

He stood to his full height trying to intimidate us but it merely a laughable gesture, his eyes said he was expecting something.

"So, these are the ones who have refused to bow to me and dwell among us, I will be honoured to announce to you that you will die today".

"We do not fear death unlike your kind,  for we have seen death and conquered. Even if you kill us now, we have a thousand more willing to fill the void you have created, if you want to kill us now then you might as well get on with it!!". He swallowed hard at my words and I watched as the anger bubbled in his eyes.

"Bow down now!!".
"We are not of your kind, your efforts to sway us with dominance are very futile". His dominance had affected even the plants that held us, I could feel my sage ropes start to come lose. With whatever strength that was left in me, I tore the binds apart and formed a triangle with Hevea and Fiona. Our arms stretched out as the guards came running toward us.

"Erif stcetorp". I said in unison with them as a ring of fire circled us . They shifted and tried to test the flames. We made the fires rise as if daring them to cross.

"How do you plan to kill us now!!. You can barely even keep your wild dogs at bay, we will warn the other clans and they will come after this threat!!".

"And how do you plan to do this, this building disallows communication between witches telepathically, I'm sure you've tried so it doesn't seem like I speak lies".
He was right, I had indeed tried to speak to them.

"We will take down the clans before you can warn them. Now would you kindly take down these flames or I will myself".

"I would love to see you try".
Our flames reduced almost immediately and we searched furiously for what may have put it out.

A figure clothed in black from head to toe strolled across and stood by him.

"So you would betray you kind for a wild beast".
I brought my hand forward and squeezed my fist cutting off her air supply. She held her throat gasping for air as I squeezed harder.

"I hope you meet Aurora's numerous punishments". I withdrew my hand forcefully as her corpse dropped to the ground.

"You prove to be quite powerful. Maybe you could replace what you just took from me". He said as he proceeded with caution.

"I refuse to be a tainted soul". I snapped back.

"The laws dictate that I cannot kill you under fourteen days of your stay here. So, Guards".

As he said those words a slam came down to the bridge between my neck and shoulder and then it all went black.
