A spell had been done, it disallowed communication with werewolves outside those cells. Much like the one in the cells of Silver Bound
Two days, I had been pondering over this for quite some time. Two days?, what special thing was happening in two days?. Surely he has to have chosen that day for a special reason.
"Fiona you keep all special things in mind". It was more of a statement than a question, she nodded with a questioning look.
"What special thing could occur in two days?"
"The full moon, why do you ask?".
She says as if it were not a big deal."He had to have chosen a special day for something like that, he cannot have sent them any time sooner, he fears he will lose if he battles us fair. They are going to draw power form the moon".
"What are you babbling about?, who is battling us?". Hevea asks drawing closer.
"Jerome is coming, or rather sending warriors here, he is wedding my sister in two days, if we can get to their pack grounds before then, we will have the upper hand. I have to tell Xavier".
After my lengthy explanation, Xavier still proved stubborn again by disagreeing with me.
"I have a better plan, we are just going to play the part of the unsuspecting prey, we can do it with the aid of you and your people".
"And what will this better plan entail?". I asked still angry that he spat on my idea.
"We train, you teach the witches new things, new tactics, new defence and fighting spells and I work with increasing the population of vampire in this city, train them and improve any flaw. On the day they attack, you hide the distinct vampire scent while we hide in the trees and drop on them like rain". I liked this plan, it was going to prove useful.
"When do we start this training?".
He looked at me smiling that I was on the same page with him."Now".
********"My people!!, there is a war coming and we need to prepare, I apologize for this war has come under such short notice, Jerome the werewolf Alpha king is sending warriors in our direction, Witches of the Salem Coven!!, they will be vigilant, fast, strong and much more, for their power will be drawn from a full moon. The vampires will aid us in this war as we aid them, fear not. Aurora is within me and we will conquer, we will win this war!!". They roared in unison as I descended the alter.
"Disperse to the fields everyone, we must get familiar with the place of battle".I taught them most if the spells I knew with Hevea and Fiona, the spells revolved around all the four nature given elements.
I met up with Xavier later that day.
His hair was pulled up with a rubber band and his face on full display. He was still in his leather training gear that embraced his body, training was not done for the day, both the vampires and witches were on break.
He finally locked eyes with me and a red shaded my cheeks, I have started warming up to the whole soulmate issue, the smile on his face showed off his straight, white teeth.
I sat in the chair right in front of him as he stood up leaning against the table on my right side, he crossed his arms over his chest showing off his muscular arms.
We stayed like that, a comfortable silence passing between us. Two people in one room just staring at each other, it would sound like such a bore to anyone else but this was quite entertaining to me.
"Come, I want you to watch us train, do not worry about your people, Hevea and Fiona are already on top of that". I took his hand as we walked through series of corridors till we finally made it to the vampires' training ground.
I had thought the Salem coven had too many people but when I saw the crowed, it was as if three witch coven had merged as one. They were divided into groups of different genders and I was marvelled at the great number of them.
Julian walked up to us standing at an equal level with us."How many more have been turned?". Xavier asked still looking toward the great multitude.
"Five hundred and one, four hundred and twelve have woken, all sane and yet to have their first taste".
"Do not release them upon the city in the day, let them feed under the cover of night and please, no casualties".
"Yes sire". He said and with a gust of wind he was gone.
"Shall we?". Xavier asked with his hand stretched out to me.
I nodded taking his hand as he carried me down the hill. We moved at an unnatural speed as we came to a stop at the foot of the hill. He set me down and I held onto him for balance. He whistled into the air and motioned for another man to come over, the multitude formed a circle around us all as I blended in with the crowed.
It was a fight and the two males had taken their stance.
The other man threw the first punch as Xavier dodged it snatching his hand up and sweeping his opponent off the floor. The body landed with a thud thus raising a dust cloud.
The newcomer rose to his feet charging at Xavier like a ram head first. Xavier saw this coming as he kicked the man in the face sending him flying back, the nearly black blood streaming down his nose. He stood fast this time waiting for Xavier's blow. Xavier moved for him as the other male met his stride, Xavier jumped being propelled by the running speed as he brought his fist down connecting it with his opponent's head as the man fell to the ground dazed. Xavier threw a smile in my direction as he motioned for me to come over to him."Some of you have not had the opportunity to meet Maura Landelle, the first of the three witch cranes of the Salem Coven, my soulmate and direct ddescendant of The Elder Witch Aurora, she will aid and fight with us in the coming war. I know what you are thinking, an interspecies couple but even I was as shocked as you are now but needless to say, we need to be ready for this battle, it is long overdue. Jerome needs to feel a taste of his own poison". The cheers were everywhere and I could not help the blush that fled to my cheeks.
This man never ceased to amuse me.----
