Chapter 21: Forever

NAGISA POV:

I grab a drink in the fountain and head back to the bench and I see Kayano all alone fast asleep.

"Even after everything that happened... She deserves a nice sleep... Wife" I said

I know, we're sixteen but starting now we are just dating and then... we'll get married when we are 20... or 19.. So ..Kayano is keeping the ring and I'll be keeping her forever ..

Wow.. It's almost late ... It's what? 8:50 PM!

I have to take Kayano home!

But.. then .. mother will be mad if I'm late ...

I forgot that... I made mom angry.. with all the words I said to her..

Since ... Kayano and I are dating ... She can sleep in my house for the night... I mean ... she been there before... so... no big fuss bout it..

I finally arrive at the door of my house.

Damn... Kayano is heavy... haha... I can tell Kayano is dead sleep ... She must be reeaaaalllly tired..

I opened the door and from that moment ... I didn't see mother in a sight everything...

That's strange ... Usually she would wait for me in the dinner table—

Oh there's a note...

I lay Kayano in the couch and go toward the table and read the note.

"Nagisa... If you're reading this.. I'm getting groceries... Please be safe.. I'm very sorry... But when I come back.. I need to talk to you... YOU BETTER NOT DO ANYTHING SILLY!l" I said in my mind while reading the note

Wow... So mom did care about me...

I should apologize to mom too about the words I said..

I turn around and look at Kayano ... walking toward her and I carried her up to my room and from there I put her in my bed and cozied her up in my blanket.

I sat down in my bed next to her staring at the wall.

So... What do I do for the next one hour?

I look at Kayano

"She's so peaceful when she sleeps... It looks like her hairpin is slipping through her hair..." I said

I grab the pins and that moment .. her hair slipped away and her hair was down

I widen my eyes ..

"She's ... so ... beautiful..." I said

Her luxurious green hair, her face... She's everything that I imagined for a wife...

I can't think straight...
How am I going to protect Kayano!

What if she get hurts again!
And I won't be .. there for her...

I'll make sure to be by her side forever... I promise that in my heart and for Kayano!

I stand and go to the window and look at the midway of to the distance, the mountain.

Hmm..

I turn around and I hear Kayano

I go to her.

"N-N-Nagissaa" Kayano said

"Shhhh, Nagisa is here..." I said

I tuck her in and stuff the pillow

Hehh, she must be dreaming ...

She's so cute when she sleeps...
