(Parker's P.O.V.)
Mom must be at the grocery store so I might as well take advantage of my alone time. I grabbed some snacks from the refrigerator, turned the TV on and plopped myself on the couch. I went on my phone and saw that I had two notifications for my phone app. I had 2 voicemails. The first one was from Aunt Colleen. I clicked on it and heard her voice that I've missed so much.
"Hi Parker Bug, it's me! I just wanted to call to say hi and I miss you so much! Feel free to text me any time. We hope we can come visit soon. Uncle Josh, Lily and Noah all say hello up here in Vancouver! Love you!"
I laughed as soon as the voicemail finished. I remember Aunt Colleen has been calling me Parker Bug since I was a little kid, and mom still calls me Parker Bug occasionally. I miss her so much. Ever since Lily and Noah were born, they've been living in Vancouver. When they were finishing filming the sixth season of the most successful Netflix series of all time, Haters Back Off, Aunt Colleen found out she was pregnant, but her and Uncle Josh knew they wanted to raise her in Vancouver. I don't remember Vancouver that well, we lived there for the first season and I turned three when we were there. After that season became mega successful and we knew they were making plenty more, mom decided that Bailey, Jacob, her and I should live in California. We've moved to Santa Barbara since then so we could be a little closer to Grandma Gwen and Grandpa Tim.
I looked at the second voicemail. It was from mom and I really didn't want to listen to it but I did anyways. It started off loud and I had to quickly turn my volume down.
"CHRIS MAKE SURE THEY GET HER SOMEWHERE SAFE!"
I paused it and took a second to prepare myself for what was coming next because I knew it was going to be nothing good.
"Parker, it's me mom. I know you're mad at me and I'm still disappointed in you but we need to forget that for right now. Bailey is in the hospital. She got in a car crash. Please stay calm and call Grandma and Grandpa. Dad will be home later to pick you up. Put together a bag of things you might need for the night just in case. I have to go, I love you Parker Bug."
