Drifting

Chapter 7

(Cassie's P.O.V.)

I locked and walked away from my gray Honda Civic and started walking towards the movie theater.

"Two adult tickets for Passengers please!"

I handed over my cash and walked into the movie theater. I walked over to the snacks stand and ordered a large popcorn, two waters, and some Sour Patch Kids because I know they're Parker's favorite candy. I sat down by the entrance and checked my phone. It's 6:05, and the movie starts at 6:20. Where's Parker? He said he would be here by 6:00. I dial his number and put my phone up to my ear.

It rang, and it rang, but no Parker.

"Hey! Sorry I missed your call. Please feel free to leave me a message or try again later. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks, bye!"

I was shocked. I can only remember a few times when Parker missed a phone call. He almost always answers. I figured I should just leave a message.

"Hey Parker, it's me. You're probably driving or running a little late or something, but I'm at the movies. I got the tickets, snacks and waters, so I'm just gonna head to the theater. Text me when you get here and I'll be out with your ticket so you can get in. I love you, drive safe."

I walked over to the theater and found a seat. It was almost empty, surprisingly.

I watched a few previews and got lost in my own thoughts. Parker would tell me if he wasn't coming, right? Although, we have been drifting apart lately. We haven't been talking as much. When we do, it's been kind of awkward. And today at school, what was that about? Why didn't he just tell me what was wrong?

I needed to stop worrying. He's amazing, and there's no other guy I would rather be with than him. I know he feels the same way about me.

Right?

hey, so remember when I said i was gonna write the next day last chapter? yeah so i said that in october and now it's december whoops

anyways, i did just finish harry potter and i hate snivellus snape end of story. shoutout to my fellow potter heads
