Chapter 11

Kierra’s POV

I went for a jog the next morning and bumped into Alex again.

“Hey, beautiful,” he greeted, “alone again?”

I laughed, “Yeah.”

“Your boyfriend’s still sleeping, hah?” he asked raising his right eyebrow naughtily at me.

“Yeeeeesss,” I slowly replied, “But I don’t like the way you asked me,” I smirked.

“Well, if I were your boyfriend, I would have been tired in the morning too.” he chuckled and winked at me.

“Hey!” I laughed and hit him, “You are a very naughty man.”

“Ouch,” rubbing his arm laughing with me. “You know I really envy both of you,”

“Why?” I asked smiling at him.

“Well, I can see how much you really love each other,” he said.

I blushed, “Really?”

“Yeah, especially your boyfriend,” he chuckled, “I can really see how protective he is towards you and I can really feel how much he wants to punch me on the face every time I’m talking to you.”

I laughed, “Oh, you do realised.”

“Oh, yes, definitely,” he laughed too. ”I also realised that my chance of getting you attracted to me is zero.”

“Aww, don’t say that. I am attracted to you,” I told him, “but as a friend.”

“Hmm, I think I can live with that,” he smiled.

“So, how long have you been together?” asked Alex.

“Well,” I hesitated, “We have known each other since high school, when we both were 15. He was a new boy who had just move into our town. He and Vicky were next door neighbours. Vicky was the one who introduced us and coincidently we were in the same class for almost every subject. Since then, we became close and best friends.” I explained.

“Wow, best friends turned lovers. Interesting,” he said.

“Yeah, you can say that,” I smiled shyly at him.

Carl’s POV

I woke up from my bed and went straight to my bedroom balcony to do some stretching. There I saw Kierra jogging with Alex. God, why can’t he leave my Kierra alone? Feeling quite angry I went downstairs to wait for her.

I sat on the sofa waiting for her and abruptly turned my face toward the door when I heard the door being opened. She walked in and gave me a sweet smile when she saw me. God, I felt like pulling her into my arms and kiss her there and then.

“Hey, good morning,” she greeted cheerfully and walked straight to the kitchen.

“Morning,” I simply replied and followed her. “Jogging?” I asked.

“Yeah,” she nodded while drinking some water.

“With Alex?” I couldn’t help myself from asking.

“No, alone at first and then I bumped into him so we decide to jog together,” she said casually.

“I see! He does love to bump into you,” I said sarcastically.

“Yeah, he does and l like it too,” she crossed her arm and looked annoyingly at me.

“Hey, don’t be angry, I’m just worried, ok.” I tried to give her my reason. “You are my girl friend and what would other people think when they saw you alone with him.” She rolled her eyes at me. “People might think you’re having an affair behind my back,” I continued.

She gave me a thoughtful smile, “Well that’s good isn’t it? You can now run to Vicky for comfort.”

“Kierra,” I scolded her, “I never agreed with the affair idea ok.”

“Aww, come on, since you said people might be talking about it, why not we just go ahead with it,” she smirked.

“No!” I stressed. “I don’t want you to have an affair, especially with Alex.”

“Why not?” she raised her voice, “He’s charming…”

I cut in, “Hey, you don’t have to repeat what you have already said about him, ok.” I shook my head angrily at her.

“Why not, if that’s the truth?” she mockingly asked.

“How would you know that’s the truth? You just know him for one day,” I angrily said.

“No, two days, and I really found him charming, unlike you. You always are so jealous of other guys and you think you are better than them but actually you are not!” she yelled. “You’re the worst green-eyed monster.”

“Fine, leave me and go to him then!” I roared at her throwing my hand in air and leave her alone.
