Don't know what to say

Ethan's POV
I was standing out of the maths classroom with Alisha, trying to get my head around everything that was going on.

"Hey baby want to come over to my place tonight?" I shrugged.

"I have band practise today, so sorry, not today."

Her sweet, innocent smile turned cold, and she stamped her foot on the ground.

"Ok fine then. I guess another time then," she said annoyingly.

"I'm gonna go re apply my lip gloss so don't go babe!"

I nodded and then she strutted away.

As she left, I could see two people walking my way.

Sara and

Belle.

Belle's POV

"Oh no, what are we doing now Belle? Its not even near class time?" I nodded towards Ethan and she fully understood.

"Are you sure you want to? I mean it might not be a very good idea because you know.....but I'll be there to pick up the pieces of anything happens."

I smiled at her, glad to know that Sara would be there for me, through thick and thin.

"I don't really care now. I just want to know what's going on, you know, that's all."

As we walked towards Ethan, I looked around, making sure that Alisha wasn't anywhere in sight. Then, I gave the signal to Sara and she walked towards her locker, still a fair listening length away.

"Um...hey Ethan....." I said, looking at him.

"Oh hey...Belle. It's been a long-"

"We need to talk." He nodded.

"Why did you leave Geelong? Why are you dating Alisha? Why were you staring at me in class? Why have you been so cold to me.....?"

Suddenly, Alisha walked towards us and she hugged Ethan so hard, I could tell it was fake. That's when Ethan's expression changed totally.

"You know what Belle, I don't think you're worth much to know all this information. You know why I was staring at you in class? That's because you're such a bitch. And you know why I've been so cold to you? I don't even know you! What do you want from me, first day here, a big friendly hug or something? Yeah right." He looked at Alisha and she smiled in approval.

The bell had just rung and I had tears filling in my eyes. The whole class was standing around us and some people tried to comfort me, especially Sara and Jai.

"What the hells your problem Ethan? Of course she has the right to ask you all those questions when YOU DIDN'T EVEN BREAK UP WITH HER. DO YOU KNOW HOW RUDE YOU'RE BEING RIGHT NOW? YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT TO SAY ALL OF THAT SHIT TO HER WHEN YOU'RE THE MAIN REASON FOR ALL THESE PROBLEMS!"

"Bro that was low," Jai muttered. " I didn't think you were like that."

I could tell at once that Ethan felt bad for what he had said, but it didn't change anything. Now the whole school knew about our past, but most of all.... Everyone would start to judge Ethan differently and I didn't want this to happen at all. All I could do was run. Run as fast as I could.... And then I remembered I had dance rehearsals with Myles this period. Great, I get to get out of class right..?

As I rushed into the toilets, Layla and Monica were there fixing their makeup. As soon as I rushed in they pulled me in for a hug and I literally wet all of their clothes. After around 30 seconds I pulled away.

"I tried talking to Ethan.... He Str-aight up screa-med at me," I tried saying throughout all the sniffs.

"do you want us to stay with you?"

"No it's okay. You guys are already late for class," they chuckled.

"If you need anything call us babe." I nodded.

"I'll probably be at the gym so see you in class to hand in my slip?" They nodded and went away.

As I sat there, trying to clean up myself, I couldn't help but wonder what had just happened. Ethan was never like that. I knew that for sure, and I knew he would never do anything to hurt me, friend or enemy. He had a kind heart.

Alisha.

I knew it was her.

As I walked towards class, I checked my phone to see how crap I looked. My eyes were swollen it had clearly looked like I was crying. As I walked towards the math classroom, Joe ran towards me from the other side of the hallway.

"I heard what happened, are you ok?" I pulled him in for a hug.

"I'm fine, sorta.... Not really, but I'm still up to practising. I'm just gonna hand this slip in to the teacher if that's ok." As we walked down the hallways, I could see my class through the windows, as I walked in, all eyes were on me, except for Ethan. Sara ran up to me, along with Layla and Monica.

"Class, go do section 5a while I talk to Belle here."
Still, no one did their work. Well I'm really happy that everyone wants to hear about my problems!! Especially with Ethan in the room.

"Are you okay? What happened?"

"Um....just problems but it's all fine."

"um, here's my out of class slip, sorry I have to miss class but I have an assign-"

"It's ok go. All the teachers know about it."

"Um...okay..."

And with that I waved at Sara, Layla and Monica and walked out of the classroom, Joe hand over my shoulder.

"You ready to kill this assignment?"

"More than I'll ever be," and as we walked off, I actually smiled.

Whenever I'm around Joe, I always feel a sense of happiness all around me. He makes me feel welcome and he doesn't even judge me by the mess I'm in. It hasn't been very long but I think...... I might have feelings for Joe. This is mucked up.
