"Mommy! I'm going out to play! " I shouted from the hallway.

I was really excited because my friends and I decided a few days ago that we would play a new game that Judy inv.. invit... invented! Yes! That's the word!

I ran out of the house to hear my mommy scream,"Come back here! You have to have breakfast!" I made a sad face and when mommy glared at me, I grinned and sat down. I had breakfast, my favourite pancakes and blueberry syrup and ran outside the kitchen.

I ran to the park where we decided to meet and was surprised to see no one there. So I waited.

After five minutes, I saw Nathan's and Simon's blonde heads bobbing up and down as they ran towards me. "Hey lia! I thought we were late" said Nathan,  pan... pants... panting! Nailed it!

"Nope!" I said grinning."Judy isn't even here yet."

We startrs to talk about small things like toys and the latest sponge bob square pants show.

We got into a small aro... arug... argument(my mom taught me the big words I know. Im proud of them.) on if barbie was better or hotwheels.

I was just going to win when Sam came running into our talk."Hello! Isnt Judy here already? She should have been the first to come." He said.

"We should wait for sometime, she'll come." Said Simon.

"By the way, can you please tell Lia that hotwheels is cool and barbie is a waste of time?"

"Hey!" I screamed and poked him. "Barbie has alot of good qualities if you think about it! "

"Uh huh,  like what?" Nathan gave me a sly grin.

I was just going to tell him when I saw Judy walking towards us. "She is here!" I shrieked.  We ran to her, and she smiled and said, "lets play catch!" And she took out a ball from behind her. I was going to ask her about the new game she was telling us about but she threw the ball, so I ran to catch it. After about an hour of playing, we sat to rest and started talking about toys again. This time I was just going to win when I heard sniffling and someone muttering 'can't leave, can't say goodbye.' I turned to see it was Judy, and suddenly I was worried.

"Judy! What's wrong? What happened?" I asked, while the others just sat around us, giving us confused looks.

"Didn't she tell you that-" Sam was saying when Judy cut him off.

"Hey I know! Why dont we all play hide n seek!?" She said, a little too eager to play.

"Hey wait, what are you not telling me Judy?" I asked, narrowing my eyes. "Later!" She said, wiping her tears." Right now, youre it!" And she ran away. But before she could go far I caught her hand.

Now, you might be thinking, 'sheesh, you are the most per.. perrys...persistent! Yes! Persistent 5 year old ever.' But I have my reasons. No offence to my fellow 5 year olds, but, kids my age would just let it go and play hide and seek. But my mom taught me how to be cautious of people's behaviour. Judy was acting really strange. She never keeps a secret from me, her closest friend, she never comes late and most important,  she never would suggest a game of hide and seek. She hates that game.so I asked her again.

"Judy, what are you not telling me?" She sighed and said,"well, I'm....... I'm going away. Somewhere far."

"What!?" I looked around. "You guys knew this?" They all seemed to find something interesting in the ground. "Why did you never tell me? You told them!" I screamed.
