Chapter 4

*6 Months Later* 

Tia blushed as Arjun slid the ring on her finger and an astounding crash of claps followed. Now, it was Tia's turn. She lifted the ring out of the box and with shaky hands, slid it on Arjun's ring finger. A resounding wave of claps followed rapidly after. Arjun kissed her cheek softly and the crowd awed. His mother's face lit up and he could see her bragging to the aunties at the party about her soon-to-become daughter-in-law. He smiled to himself. "Shaadi key lite taiyaar?" A familiar sounding voice asked. Bhai stood to the side with Nicki and Dadu smiling like Cheshire cat. 

"Yes," I replied glancing over at Tia who was having an animated looking conversation with some of her friends. I shook my head playfully at her. Dadu was extremely happy with the new edition to the family. He would always say that his "good luck charm" was here to stay! My Tia was here to stay...
