Hello, my readers! This is a short story set about three years after the last scene in the movie, Kapoor and Sons. This chapter is short but I hope to update soon. Thank you for reading. Plz comment. Arjun's POV

The box is scalding inside the pocket of my trousers as I drive to Tia's house. I think of the sparkle in my mother's eyes as I headed out the door. Dadu and Rahul tease me mercilessly making me even more nervous and my face contorting in embarrassment and turning a dark hue of red. I hurry into my car and drive away quickly to avoid further teasing. Thoughts course through my head like rapid fire. What if she rejects you? I think as pull up to the small house that Tia bought after she sold her property to Bhai.

After papa died, and Bhai and I came back, we stayed with mama and helped her out with the business also while communicating across the seas to hear about our books. Occasionally, I would take a trip to the United States for meetings and discussions on the book. Bhai spent a lot of time in his little alcove, the artist retreat working on new books and ideas. Mama and I are slowly rebuilding the trust that was shattered the day the rain came crashing down.

Anyway, I can see Tia sitting on her porch, book in hand. She hears my car rolling and jumps up her brown eyes sparkling with delight. She comes over and wraps me in a hug, and kisses my cheek. "Ready?" I ask her, a new wave of nervousness crashing through me. She smiles in response and I back up and out of her driveway and we cruise through the beautiful streets of Coonoor praying to God, that everything goes smoothly.
