I've never actually thought to try for the Hunter Trial, I mean, I was going to do it, but I didn't think so soon. The Closest one starts in a Month, and I've already registered. So that's that. I get out of the Hotel bed, stinky, grumpy, and tired. I decide to take a shower. I need to grab my clothes first, and I do. Heading to the bathroom, I start to think.

So if I were to pass, I'd be even richer and I wouldn't be a disgrace.

No disadvantages, except for the fact that I could die. I throw my disheveled self into the shower and wash, keeping the water cold and not bothering to turn the heat on.

Back at the Arena. A few more battles, and I'll be in the Hundreds. But I won't go higher, I'm not nearly strong enough. I'm nothing like the two. Death and Life. Torture and Love. Gon and Killua. The two legends. That's not what this is about though.

"Hey man! We met yesterday."
Cardi managed to find me again.
"I can't wait to see your fight!"
He practically yells. I think he's drunk. After brushing him off, I make my way to the ring room.

I cringe as the crowd screams at the mention of my name. In the ring, I meet my opponent. A Girl, Maybe a bit younger. She strikes first, and I barely duck in time.

"You're fast." I say.
"No, you're not trying. I've seen what you can do. Hit me."
She advances, her fist ready. She takes a Broadsword out from behind her, swinging it around.

"Now fight back."
She almost begs.

I grab her blade as soon as she swings, and it cuts into my hand. I can get a kick in, and she tumbles off the stage. Before I leave the big Room, she smiles and glances at me. Psyhco.
