School the next day was pretty good for Lainey. She got to know Reed more, and bonded over Leafy a lot too. Sabrina didn't harass her that day, which was heavenly. Over all the day was going great.
It was a Friday, and there was no home work that day, so Lainey felt no guilt at coming home and immediately binge watching YouTube and Netflix. Her parents arrived at the usual time, and Lainey greeted them at the door. "Hello sweetie!" Her parents exclaimed in unison. They hugged her and settled on the couch. "Oh yeah honey we're going out tonight" said Lainey's dad. "Oh you are?" Lainey said looking sad. "Lainey, you know we always try to go out every Friday. Don't worry we'll get you a baby sitter." The girls mother said. "Yeah, but all the sitters you get, are always jerks I swear." Said Lainey pouting. "Hey! What about that Calvin guy next door! Maybe we can ask him to baby sit you!" Said Louis smiling. "Hey yeah! Pleaseeee mom??" " oh all right, as long as he's ok with it." "YAY!"
The small family then walked to the next apartment, and knocked on the door. About ten seconds later a messy haired Calvin showed up at the door. "Oh uh hi" Calvin said surprised. "Hello! Would you by any chance be able to baby sit our daughter?" Said the father. "My wife and I, are going out and Lainey here dousing like to be alone at night." "She gets scared" the mother said smirking at her now annoyed daughter. "Umm you know, I don't really baby sit, sooo...." " oh pleaseeee? All the other sitter s suck." Begged Lainey. "It would help us out a lot." Said Louis trying to convince the young man. "Uhh" "We understand if you don't want to" said Lainey's mother leading her family back to their apartment. "Well I-I guess I could" said Calvin hesitantly. "You will?" The family asked in unison "sure. Why not"
The parents and leafy, exchanged numbers, and the couple was off. "Have you eaten?" Clavin asked. "No. What do you have?" "Uh ramen, you can make a sandwich...." Calvin said unenthusiastically. "I'll have ramen" Lainey said happily. Lainey loved ramen. Calvin made ramen for the both of them. Calvin didn't talk to Lainey much because, honestly, she annoyed him at times. Lainey did try to talk to him though. Lainey watched Calvin as he recorded some cs:go gameplay.
Calvin's POV
I had never baby sat before, and frankly, I don't really want to again. I've never really been good with kids, even though Lainey is 12, I still didn't really know what to do. I first made ramen noodles for the both of us, and I went to record some cs:go gameplay, and Lainey followed me into my room. "What're you doing?" I asked slightly annoyed. "Just coming to watch." "Umm ok."
After a little while she asked to play. I let her, and she was surprisingly really good. "Have you played before?" I asked. "Yeah! I play all the time." "To be honest your really good." I said smirking. "Really? Thanks." Lainey made some funny comments, and I was actually starting to sort of enjoy having her over. I get pretty lonely sometimes and it was actually fun to have someone to play games with, even if she was only 12. She kinda seemed like my little sister which was kinda cool. Her parents eventually came back, and I went to bed.
A/n do I suck at writing? I think I might, but plz let me know!
