I went up to my dorm, excited about my secret meeting. I think I have to explain why. You see, I'm not used to get attention. I'm not the fairest of them all. I'm an average girl, average everything. Well, except for the magic. That's pretty special. Anyways, it was my best friend from back home who was the one that boys noticed. I was always jealous, but I got used to it. So, now you understand why I was so surprised when I got that note. A boy, most likely, liked me, and I've only been here two days.

I tried to get some sleep, at least a few hours, but I was too nervous. I couldn't bring myself to close my eyes. Instead, I watched the moon. It was a clear, beautiful night, and the light from the moon hit my pillow in a magical way. It felt like it was empowering me, filling me with joy, beauty and, of course, magic.

From time to time I glanced at the clock. When it was finally midnight, I got out of bed, put on a blue sweater, dolled up a bit, and went down to the common room, through the portrait hole and into the silent hallway. My only problem was that I had no clue which way to go. I wasted a few minutes walking around in circles, when, as if by a miracle, I found the stairs that went up the astronomy tower. I climbed slowly, stopping for a second and wondering why I was doing this. I mean, it could all be a joke. 'And what if it is a joke?' I asked myself. 'Then, I would get hurt. Maybe I should go back.'

I turned around, when I heard someone moving above my head. 'He is already here!' I thought, excited. I decided to go through with it, and climbed the last couple of steps. I looked around and saw no one. I leaned over the ledge and watched the view. The lake, the hills, lit by moonlight. It was too beautiful to be true. But it had to be. There wasn't any magic that could create something that breathtaking. If there was, I would know.

I sighed. It was obvious that I was alone up there. I stepped away from the ledge, almost tripping over a bench. I grabbed it and steadied myself. On the bench there was another note, with a rose next to it. I picked up the rose and inhaled it's sweet scent. It was charmed, because it kept changing it's colour. At first it was red, in my hand it turned blue. I giggled at the sight. I lifted the note and read what it said: 'Though the night was made for lovin/ And the day returns too soon/ Yet we'll go no more a-roving/ By the light of the moon.'

I shifted again towards the moon. Whoever was there before me, chose a perfect night. I sat down on the bench, leaning back, breathing in the perfume of the fall.

I stayed there a few more minutes, until I started shivering. I grabbed my things, braided my hair, only because it stuck to my face, and went down.

I was literally skipping across the hallways. I had a huge smile on my face and I was humming some song I heard a long time ago.

I got in my bed, still looking out the window. Someone actually liked me. That was a first. I fell asleep, clutching the rose tightly. The last colour I saw the rose turn was grey.

The next morning I waked up still smiling. I stretched as I got out of bed. Hermione was still asleep and I didn't want to wake her as it was too early anyway. I got dressed, with the proper uniform this time, and left the tower, heading towards the Great Hall, hoping that I could eat something. The doors were open, and to my surprise, I was alone. But, on the bright side, there was some food on the table. I sat down at a random place. Sadly, I had forgotten which table belonged to the Gryffindor. But I was alone, so who would I disturb?

As I was eating, I saw a book near me. "Accio book" I said. I read the title: The Dark Arts. I lifted an eyebrow in confusion. On the front page it was written that this book was from the restriced area. 'What is it doing here?' I asked myself, surprised but at the same time intrigued. So, I obviously read a few pages.
