(Cas's perspective)

Castiel woke up to the sound of his alarm blaring next to him. He shot his hand out and hit the off button. Slowly peeling back the sheets to his bed, he sat up and rubbed his eyes. Sighing, he stood up and ran a shaky hand through his hair. 'First day at a new school' he thought. He quickly pulled on a plaid button up that could use an ironing. He fished though his still partially unpacked boxes and pulled out a pair of dark skinny jeans. Jumping up and down, and wriggling, he pulled them on and buttoned them up. He rushed to the bathroom before any of his siblings could and brushed his teeth. Staring at his reflection in the mirror, he gave an annoyed grunt, that one piece of hair sticking up. He dragged a comb through his hair, attempting to flatten it. Giving up, Castiel ran downstairs and put two pieces of bread in the toaster. He found some peanut butter in one of the cupboards and pulled a knife out of a drawer. The toaster popped and he pulled the hot toast out and placed it on a plate. He checked the time and saw that he had 30 minutes to get to school, and he lived 20 minutes away. Castiel quickly spread some peanut butter and stuffed the pieces in his mouth. Grabbing his bag he rushed out the door. "I'm gone!" he yelled, before slamming the door. He rushed down the front steps an made his way school.

Castiel walked up to the entrance of the school just as the bell rang. He cut through the parking lot, trying not to be late. Looking around the empty lot, he picked up his pace, and made his way to the front doors. Breathing out a sigh of relief, he walked over to the office. The at the front desk looked him up and down skeptically. "How may I help you?" she asked, clearly uninterested.

"Uh, I'm new here and I need my schedule..." he said nervously.

"Hmm, name?"

Castiel shuffled on one foot to the other, "Castiel Novak." She pursed her lips and pulled out a piece of paper and held it out to him. He grabbed it and rushed away, mumbling what sounded like 'thank you'. He looked for his first class and quickly found it. He had history first. Castiel stood awkwardly at the door until his teacher noticed him.

"Ahh, you must be Castiel. You can go sit over by Dean" he looked to where the teacher was pointing, and saw a tough looking boy. He made his way over to the desk, and sat down, resting his head on the top of the desk. Castiel felt a tap on his shoulder, and looked up into perfect, mossy green eyes.

"Um Cas, right? I'm Dean," said the boy sitting beside him.

"Well, Castiel, actually, but Cas is fine" he said, trying not to be awkward. 'Holy, hes good looking,' he thought. 'Wait what? I'm straight, I can't think that... Right?' He shook his head to rid him self of these thoughts, and directed his attention to what was on the board.

(Dean's perspective)

Dean watched Cas taking down the notes for today. "Do you know what we're learning about?" he said, leaning over.

Cas looked up, slightly startled "uh yeah, I already learned this at my old school."

"Oh," Dean said, slightly disappointed. He rested his head on his hand and zoned out for the rest of class. He stayed seated as the bell rang, and then slowly made his way to English. He went over to his usual seat, and noticed the desk beside him was not empty for once. Instead of it being empty, Cas occupied the seat. "Oh hey Cas!" Cas looked at Dean and smiled. 'Damn he has a nice smile', Dean thought.

"Hey Dean, looks like you'll be stuck with me for a little while longer, yeah?" Dean chuckled and shook his head. Their English teacher, Mrs.Bryan, quickly launched into a lecture about similes and metaphors. Dean paid no attention, instead, studying Cas' features. His bright blue eyes, that felt like he could drown in. His slightly curly, dark hair, that looked perfectly in place, but messy all at once. His smooth skin, with laugh lines that made him look so carefree. But also how he looked wise beyond his years. Mrs.Bryan finished the lesson and Cas turned to face Dean, catching him staring. Dean turned away, hiding his blush from Cas. 'What the hell? since when did I stare at random guys?' Dean looked up and cleared his throat.
