"Snakes In the Grass" –Waka Flocka
Pinky and Riley stood side by side looking at the view of LA. The night breeze sent chills to their bodies they had just come from the club and they were feeling themselves. In just a few days Pinky would be the wife of Avery Hunnid. She looked down at her ring and looked over at Riley who was staring down at her. They were thinking the same thing but they both had different answers.
"Are you ready for that step?" Riley looked into her eyes.
Pinky sighed. "I'm ready. I love Avery with all my heart and I couldn't picture myself marrying anybody else, I'm sure he's the one."
Riley's heart broke from hearing those words escape her mouth. In his head he was just so sure that Pinky was going to become his wife one day, but she had other plans. I should just tell her I love her before she walk down that aisle. She has to feel the same way. Riley thought to himself not paying Pinky any attention to what she was saying. But what is she really doesn't feel the same way? Fuck it I've got nothing to lose.
"I love you Horizon." Riley blurted out. Pinky stopped talking and looked at Riley to see if she was serious. She didn't know what to say and at that point she really didn't have anything to say. "I'm sorry I waited so long to tell you but I can't hold it in any longer, I want you to be mines."
Pinky turned around to go inside without saying a word to Riley. Fuck! I shouldn't have slept with his ass now I got the nigga thinking that he's in love. Pinky cursed herself out inside her head but little did she know, Riley had fallen for her when they were just freshmen in high school. She had to get time for herself so that she could clear her mind and hope Riley was just a little drunk.
Pinky went to the bar inside the hotel and ordered her an Apple Martini. She took a sip of her drink and thought, damn. She had to give Riley some space she didn't want to be near him knowing that he wanted to be more than friends.
Riley sat in on the balcony smoking a blunt talking to himself. "I should have just kept my mouth closed now she hates me and this could ruin our partnership." He shook his head and took another hit of the blunt.
Pinky walked up behind him. "Riley we need to talk." Riley turned around towards her and immediately knew that she was tipsy from her glossy eyes. "I'm giving this partner role over to Avery. You and him could do business together like you were before. I have enough money to take care of myself and our family for the rest of our lives, there's no need to put my life in jeopardy anymore when I'm with child."
Riley's eyes shot open from his high. "You're pregnant?"
"Yeah, I found out a week ago before we came here." Pinky gave him a smirk.
"I respect your decision, congrats." Riley walked past her and out of the hotel room.
"A-Avery..." Dana stumbled over her words as Avery walked towards her. "What are you doing here?" She was scared out of her mind.
"Calm down, I'm not here to hurt you," Avery smirked. "Where's your brother?"
Puff walked down the stairs eyeing Dana as Avery looked her in the eyes staring at fear. He loved having that type of power over women. Puff hated Avery with all of his guts, when he received the news about Avery hitting his baby sister his motto became "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." He wanted to get back at Avery in the worst way anyone could imagine.
"You ready?" Puff pulled his shirt over his head.
"I stay ready." Avery headed towards the door keeping his eyes on Dana. It took all of Puff's power not to kill him right there on the spot.
Pinky and Riley returned to St. Louis earlier that morning and said their goodbyes to each other. Pinky planned on keeping her distance from Riley before she stir up more trouble. She couldn't wait to get home to her Avery so he could make love to her before their official wedding day in two days. Avery refused to get married outside of St. Louis when Pinky told him that she wanted to get married in Baltimore, where her mother had moved to.
Pinky stood in the mirror standing in her wedding dress. It was perfect she knew this was going to top the other two best moments in her lifetime.
"I love it." Toni said squeezing her daughter.
"Ma, you loved every dress that I had tried on in the past year." Pinky joked while Dana, and Pinky's god-sister, Brittany laughed.
Toni hit her playfully on her arm. "I'm just excited my daughter is getting married."
"This one does put the icing on the cake Pinky." Dana added.
"Yeah I like this one the best too." Pinky spun around one more time before she went to take the dress off.
Dana and Pink rode in the same car while Toni and Brittany were behind them. Pinky sought this as the perfect opportunity to bring up this "Puff" situation.
"I don't like Puff hanging around Avery." Pinky admitted.
"Why not?" Dana questioned.
"I know you told Puff about what Avery done to you and he ain't the type of nigga to let no shit like this happen to his baby sister while the person being Avery walk around like he's the king."
Dana looked at her thinking if she could hear her and Puff's conversation about killing Avery. Dana's hand was itching to get revenge on Avery without her best friend knowing but this was going to be one hard task to pull. Pinky had the brain of a rocket scientist, nothing got past her. Dana laughed nervously trying to avoid the conversation before she caught on to her vibe, but it was too late Pinky already caught on.
"You are trying to harm my man?" Pinky slowed down at the yellow light and stared Dana down knowing her like a book re-read a hundred times. "Don't do anything stupid Dana." Pinky stated seriously.
"Girl calm down, you're getting the wrong thoughts in your head. I forgave Avery long ago and I wouldn't take away what you love," Dana lied straight through her teeth.
