As Alice unbuckled her seatbelt, she turned on her iphone5, it flashed a couple times before turning on completely. Her phone buzzed non-stop, displaying messages from people she barely knew from Instagram. She got a few texts from friends, saying they missed her already and finally she got a call from her mom. She listened to the voicemail, “ugh… OH! Hey Alice! I just wanted to call you and say I’m so proud of you! I know you’ll make friends in no time… Anyways I love you and moon misses you already! Ok! Byeeee.”
Alice smiled at the phone as a picture of moon popped up on the screen. The lady next to her sighed, “well this gonna take a while, dear? What’s your name?”
Alice looked up from her phone, “Alice. What’s yours?”
The lady smiled as she smoothed out the ruffles in her light green dress with delicate hand sewn pink lace, “Elizabeth, I live in Valedale and I know exactly who you are! You’re the newest addition to the… what’s it called?”
Alice stood up and pulled her bag down into the isle, “It’s called the NJEA, Valedale, hmm… isn’t that near Silverglade Village?”
Elizabeth shook her head, “it’s about ten or so miles from Silverglade Village, however once you find you way around come and visit me. I live in a cottage next to the Valedale Motel.”
Alice grinned, “of course!” And with that Alice followed Elizabeth down the aisle way and out of the plane.
Ten Minutes Later
Alice looked for her name as she walked up and down the baggage claim; she found it and walked towards the man. He looked at her “Are you Alice MoonKnight?”
Alice nodded and reached into her purse pulling out her driver’s license, which she had acquired four months ago on her birthday. The man took her luggage and carried it into the back of the small sized limo car. He opened the door for Alice and she climbed in. She buckled her seat belt and looked into her purse for her navy earphones. She plugged it into her iPhone and turned on her favorite song, “Applause” by Lady Gaga. She turned it up loud before looking out her window.
Four Hours Later
The man tapped her shoulder and Alice woke up with a jolt, she had fallen asleep on there. As she climbed out of the car he placed the suitcase on the ground. She grabbed the suitcase and ran away as fast as she could before he could ask for a tip. As she turned to the left a magnificent barn appeared in front of Alice and her eyes literally almost popped out of her head, “it’s beautiful…” she muttered.
“Glad you like it!”
