Chapter 3: A New Home

omg I'm so sorry it took so long! But here's the next chapter.

"Glad you like it!"

Alice whipped her head around, her violet eyes flickered on to the fiqure. It was a girl about the same height as alice with brown hair and light purple eyes. The girl had the same kinda hairstyle as alice and she was dressed in a pair of light blue jeans with holes in them and a black t-shirt. The girl wore a black hat and a cute pair of cowboy boots.

"Who are you?" Alice said scowling at the girl.

The girls face brightened into a slight smile, "I'm Iris FlowerField! You must be Alice!!" Iris'  hand went out to shake Alice's.

Alice hesitantly shook her hand and half smiled, "soo..."

"Let me show you around." Iris said taking the lead as Alice gaped at the beautiful winery. Iris stopped in front of a lady with jet black hair and blue eyes, the lady had no sense of style. Iris smiled at the lady before stepping back to point to Alice.  "This is Alice, she is the new member of NJEA." 

The lady grinned at Alice,  "Alice! its great to finally meet you, I'm the lady you talked to in the phone, remember?"

Alice nodded and half smiled, "Jane right?"

Jane smiled and nodded. "Here step into the barn I'll show you your boarding room. " Jane grabbed Alice's suitcase.

Alice followed Jane down the dirt trail, her black tall boots got dirty and she sighed. They stopped in front of a dark brown buliding with 3 or 4 doors on the front. Jane went to the first door and reached into her pocket. Jane pulled out a golden key and slid it into the lock and twisted the lock, unlocking it slowly. Jane pused the door open in front of Alice's eyes.

The room was moderately sized with a mini kitchen as soon as alice walked the room opened up into a king size bed with a tv across for it. There was a cream leather loveseat in the corner with a dark mahogany coffee table. A small table with two cream leather pull out chairs had a mini coffee maker placed on it as well as a letter with "Alice" on it.

Jane threw Alice's suitcase onto the lavender bed sheets. Alice smiled and nodded to jane as she motioned to her suitcase. Jane nodded and walked out of the room giving her space. Alice unzipped her suitcase and pulled out a pair of white breeches, a dark brown belt and a royal purple polo. She took out a navy blue cosmetic bag from her suitcase and walked towards the bathroom.

Alice unzipped the cosmetic bag and pulled out a hair tie. She pulled her short aburn hair back in a low bun. She touched up her makeup and left the bathroom. She grabbed her older show helment and walked out of the room. Iris was waiting outside and Alice sighed and rolled her eyes. 

As her and Iris walked the small path. They weren't really hitting it off.

"Soo... did you know you fill in horse is my horse's brother?" Iris said quickly stuttering a little .

Alice shook her head, "truthfully, I don't even know his name.." Alice looked down and smiled shyly.

"wow! well my horse is firerain, and yours is FireKing." iris said smiling.

"Fireking... that sounds like a great name." Alice looked up and smiled brightly, she watched the barn appear slowly around the turn.  Jane stood outside and she had a rope in her hand. As alice turned to look at the barn better, she saw fireking.  The stallion had a dark bay coat with bright dapples and a matching mane and tail. She noticed his small little white snip on his upper lip which trailed up to his forhead where a sliver of white was placed. Iris' smiled at alice as she looked over the stallion.

Fireking picked up his head and lightly Whinnied to alice. Alice picked up the pace and slid the rope out of jane's hands.  Fireking gently nuzzled alice and she embraced his nose tightly. Finally Alice felt at home.
