~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Alice had been an average ordinary girl until she took interest in horses. Her parents were rich as it was so when she asked for a horse she soon got one. The horse’s coat was shiny silver and her blue eyes were the color of the Caribbean ocean, and soon the mare had been named SilverMoon (moon for short). Alice realized that her life had finally had meaning; moon took her around the world winning competitions in show jumping, hunter jumping, cross country and dressage. Moon had fallen lame in a jumping accident and Alice was invited to join the National Jorvik Equine Association (NJEA).  Of course Alice accepted the offer but since moon was predicted to be lame for the rest of her life she couldn’t bring her along. Alice was devastated since she had loved that mare more than anything, her parent’s told her that they would find her another horse but as they looked around at options Alice always came up with a reason she hated the horse, every single time. The NJEA told Alice and her parents that they would provide her a horse until she found one and soon Alice was flying to Jorvik.

Alice missed moon dearly and as she began to cry on the plane the lady next to her said, “Oh sweetie! Don’t cry!”

Alice looked up at the lady and smiled lightly, “I’m fine, thank you though ma’am.”

The lady frowned and spoke “you’re not fine dear you’ve been balling your eyes out for the longest time now, what’s wrong dear?”

Alice began to cry more and said between sobs, “I miss my horse, moon. She’s lame and now I live to far away to care for her!”

The lady patted her head, “Jorvik is a magical place dear especially with horses, and horses are the most magical thing in Jorvik to be exact.”

Alice looked up and wiped her tears away, “r-really? So ill see talking horses?!” she said excitingly.

The lady laughed, “That’s a skill that’s earned, and they just don’t talk to you. Except for tin-can…”

Alice looked confused, “tin-can? Skill?”

The lady looked at her bewildered, “you haven’t head of soul riders?! Oh my! Well soul riders are horse riders who hold special powers, for example talking to horses. Oh and tin-can is the only talking horse in Jorvik that can be heard by everyone.”

Alice eyes widened and she looked at the lady like she was crazy, “NO WAY! “

The lady laughed and smiled, she was interrupted by the flight attendant saying we would be arriving soon and to buckle up. “Dear I hope you love Jorvik”, she waves her hand and pulls up the blind of the window revealing the most beautiful landscape. Alice mouth dropped low and before Alice could bat an eyelash they landed safely and the plane intercom came on, “ladies and gentlemen welcome to Jorvik!”
