Chapter 8 Don't you dare lie to me!

When Liz and Emily got to Salene's house her mother, Polly opened the door.

"Hello girls." Polly said as the girls said their hello's

"Can we come in?" Liz asked as Polly nodded and the girls walked into the house and sat down on the couch.

"What's wrong?" Polly asked, Liz didn't want to scare Polly so she just sat there and looked at Emily giving her the look that told her not to tell Polly what had really happened at the house.

"We just wanted to come and see Salene." Liz said and Polly smiled and called for Salene who was up the stairs, Salene then came flying down the stairs and sat down by Liz,

"Hey." Salene said smiling, she looked a lot like her dad, her dad had died last Christmas driving home from work, he had worked out of town, he was driving home and he had run into a truck that was speeding, he died in the hospital that night, Salene was six at the time and Matt was five.

"Hey." Liz said and the three girls went up to Salene's room,

"So, why are you guys over here?" Salene asked like she knew something was up

"OK, we will tell you but, don't freak out." Liz said and cleared her throat to speak, she was kinda scared to tell Salene what had happened but she had to, Salene hated it when Liz didn't tell her stuff.

"While I was at home there was someone in our house trying to kill us." Liz said, Salene's eyes grew wide like she had just seen a ghost,

"Do you know who the guy is?" She asked and Liz said no quietly, Emily just sat on Salene's computer chair trying not to remember what happened but the memories kept on coming back and haunting her.

"We have no idea." Emily said and looked at both girls, "We gotta call the police." Salene said but Liz stopped her

"We can't, he will find out where we are, he knows where we are already." Liz said like she knew that the killer was already on the move for Salene's house, just then they heard a knock at the door from down the stairs and ran down to see Polly open it and Treena come running in

"Where are my girls?" She asked panicing a little then she turned her head to see Liz and Emily coming down the stairs, Treena hugged both of them and then looked at Liz

"Now tell me why you both are here." Treena said and they all sat on the couch and Liz started to talk about how she came home and got a message from some guy that was in their house and wanted to kill her, then she told her about the phone then how Emily came home and they went up stairs to look around when the killer locked Liz in her room and went after Emily,

"I don't believe this." Treena said getting a little angry, "Mom, it really happened!" Emily shouted

"Somebody wouldn't just come into the house and try to kill you." Treena said and got off the couch.

"I'm sorry Polly, we will be going home now." Treena said and Polly just smiled and opened her mouth, "It's alright Treena." She said and the two girls got up and tried to talk to Treena,

"But mom, I'm not joking!" Liz said

"Liz, that is enough!" Treena said as she put her jacket on and grabbed her purse and opened the door, when she stepped out there was a man on the other side of the street holding something that kinda looked like a knife, Treena then closed the door and looked at Liz
