Emily's POV

"Emily,wake up! Hurry up...school starts in 15 minutes!" Garroth exclaimed. I groaned. 'Argh...morning already? OMG...it's the first day of school!' I thought. I hopped out of bed and ran into my closet. I had a white crop top and blue jeans. I put on my makeup and did my hair. (Pic of Emily above.) I went downstairs and was greeted by the smell of fresh bacon and eggs. "Smells good!" I exclaimed. "Good morning darling! Here,have some bacon and eggs." My mom said. I sat down and started to eat my 3 pieces of bacon and my 1 sunny-side up. So...Garroth,can I meet your friend today?" I asked. Zane just groaned in digust. "Awww...Zane,just because you're a loner for life,doesn't mean you can be jealous of Garroth and I." I said jokingly. Garroth and I burst out laughing. "Shut up!" Zane said. "Guys...don't tease my little Zuzu! He's just going through his mood swings." My mom explained. We just laughed even more because she used his pet name. Soon we calmed down and resumed the silence. After 10 minutes we ran to school. We had 5 minutes left. "Okay baby sister,go and find your friends now." He said pushing me away. "No way! I want to meet your friend. Plus,we're the same age so I can't embarrass you." I protested. We're both in 10th grade,so that means we're both 16. "Fine. But you better not crush on him." He said sternly. I just laughed. "I'm serious." He said. "Garroth...I'm only younger than you by 3 months. Plus,if he is cute,then I can't make any promises." I said jokingly. Then I inserted my earbuds and played my favorite song,Smoke and Fire. As we walked over to one of the locked doors I saw one guy with brown hair and blue eyes. 'Oh...he's cute! He better not be Garroth's friend. If he is then...Houston,we got a problem.' I thought. As I was eyeing him we got closer to him. "That's your friend?!" I said pointing to the guy. "Yup. Don't worry he's really nice,and a cassanova too." He explained. When we approached him Garroth introduced me. "Laurence,this is my sister,Emily,we're the same age." He said to Laurence. "Hi! My name is Laurence,I'm his friend. But I'm sure you already know that." He said nervously. "Hi! Nice to meet you Laurence. I'll be setting up at the club social with you." I greeted. "Oh? You play soccer? Cool! Just so you know I'm the captain." He said with a huge smile on his face. "Yeah! I do...I was captain in O'khasis middle school." I said proudly. "I guess we're both skilled then." He said. We both laughed. Forgetting that Garroth was there,he coughed loudly. We turned to him and I said "Opps! Sorry,we forgot that you were there. I guess we just got caught up in talking to each other." I exclaimed. I had one of my earbuds out so I could hear my surroundings. "It's okay." He turned to Laurence. "You better not get any ideas!" He said sternly. "I won't. Plus,I just met her." He said. I saw a freshman walk by. 'She seems lost. She's adorable! Maybe Garroth would like her too.' I thought. Out of nowhere I pushed Garroth as she was walking backwards. They bumped into each other. More like she fell in to his arms. I had a huge smirk on my face. 'He's going to like her a lot.' I thought. I turned to Laurence. He had a confused look on his face,but he was also quite red. "Why are you confused,and blushing?" I asked. "Huh? Oh,nothing!" He said aware of his redness. "Are you blushing because of me?" I asked getting suspiously. "W-what no I-it's fine if you are I mean,I don't mind." I said cutting him off. "Well...okay." He said. I smiled at him and he smiled back. I faced in front of me and saw Garroth coming back from his "accident". "So...how was it with her?" I questioned. "She's was nice. Though,why did you push me toward her?" He questioned. "Well,I was just thinking that maybe you'd like her and stuff...OKAY,OKAY I WANTED TO SEE YOU WITH HER!!" I screamed excitedly. "Wow..." Garroth said. Laurence just stared at me. I turned to him and slapped him in the face. "Ow! What was that for?" He exclaimed rubbing his cheek. "You're staring at me you butthead!" I screamed. The doors swinged open. I put my earbud back in and ran in without Garroth and Laurence. "Wait! Emily,come back!" Laurence said reaching out for me. I stopped and turned around,and saw Laurence running full speed at me. "Laurence,slow down!" I yelled. But it was too late. He bumped into me and he fell on top of me. Our faces were inches away from touching. He pushed himself off and checked himself. I got up and straightened my jeans. "Uh...sorry." He said blushing like a red tomato. "LAURENCE!!" Garroth yelled. We turned around and saw Garroth walking over to us. "Garroth it was an accident. He was running too fast and couldn't stop in time." I explained. "That better be the situation." He said angrily. "Whatever..." I replied. The bell rang and Garroth showed me to the multi-use room. Laurence said that he had to get something from his locker and told me to wait for him there. We all agreed and went our separate ways. 'Yay! First day of school going smooth so far...but something tells me something will go wrong in the future. Eh,whatever!' I thought. Today was going to be great.
