"Alex, Alex, wake up!" She groaned as her younger sister, Grace, hopped up and down on her bed. She yanked the thick, silky comforter over her head and buried her head into her fluffy pillow.

"ALEX!" Gracie squealed and plopped onto her back. She moaned as her weight crushed the air from her.

"OW!" She yelled and tossed her pillow at her. She giggled and yanked the comforter off me. She kissed her cheek.

"Good morning, Alexandria!" She sang and pulled her off of the bed. She hit the ground with a thud.

"OWWW!" She hollered and rubbed her head. How could a little thirteen year old girl be so strong? It was unbelievable. She sat on the floor and looked around her room. Bright sunlight shone in through the drawn ivory curtains onto the white walls with gold designs. The gold and white bedspread and the canopy over her bed glittered beautifully. The room was beautiful, undoubtedly, but not hers. This was the handiwork of her mother's designers, who went overboard when all she wanted was "simple".

"Alex!" Gracie said as she plunked into her elegant reading chair. She flinched as she began to toss her books around on the desk, looking for something interesting to read.

"Gracie!" She said. She looked up, snapping back to reality. "Why are you in here at..." She glanced at the clock on her bedside table "...eight in the morning?" She asked incredulously.

"Oh, um...." She tried to remember. "OH! Yeah! Something about Fernando was waiting for you downstairs?" She leaped up.

"Elizabeth-Grace Fiona Laurence! Fernando wants to see me, and you forget to tell me?" she shrieked. She shrugged. She ran to the walk-in closet and slipped into a knee-length white eyelet lace dress and a pair of pink peep-toe heels. Since she had no idea what they were doing today, she pulled a cropped black blazer over her bare arms. She pulled her hair into a tight bun and trotted quickly down the grand stairway. Fernando stood at the foot of the stairs in navy trousers and a gray button-down polo.

"Hello." He said. "You look beautiful." She smiled at his politeness, though she had no makeup on and had just woken up.

"Thanks, you too." He laughed. "Oh! No, I meant handsome. You look, um, handsome, is what I meant." They laughed and he took her hand and led her to the front entrance. Outside, a glossy black car was waiting for them.

"Wow." she said, breath-taken. "A 2010 Ferrari Enzo." He looked at her incredulously.

"You know cars?" He asked like she was the most ridiculous thing on Earth. She rolled my eyes.

"I know everything." she said sarcastically. He laughed and lifted the door for her. Yes, lifted. This was the most beautiful car she had ever seen. Her own Ferrari, an older model, no longer compared at all.

She slid into the seat and buckled tightly. She knew this car was fast.

"Scared?" Fernando asked bemusedly.

"No!" she said defensively. He laughed. "I just want to know where we're going!"

"It's a surprise."
