Vanessa's P.O.V

The ride to my apartment was short and silent. I didn't know how to bring up a conversation with him at this moment. I do know that he is angry with me. He's angry because he thinks I'm using him and leaving him.

Without saying anything to him I place my hand on his. He keeps his eyes on the road, not showing any emotion to me. I sigh, but don't remove my hand. I open my mouth to speak, and then close it. Finally the words come out.

"Are you mad at me?" I glance over to him.

"No. I'm not mad. Why would I be?" He quickly glimpse over to me.

"I-I don't know. I just thought you were since you weren't talking to me." I bite down on my lip.

We pull up to my apartment; Harry grabbed my bags even though I told him I'd carry them. I still felt as if he's angry with me. The only words he said was "bye, see you later" and set my bags in front of the door. I dismissed him with a friendly smile. I was going for a hug but he turned around. I stood at the door, watching his body disappearing after every step he took.

I had enough of it, and ran to him. When I caught up to him I hugged him from behind. He jumped up in shock, but turned around and wrapped his arms around me. I nudged my head into the crook of his neck while repeating his name.

"I'm sorry," I whisper. I hear his deep chuckle as he lets me go.

"I told you I'm not mad, Vanessa." He whispers to me as he traces the outline of my jaw. I stand on my tippy-toes to kiss his cheek. When I pull away his eyes are closed and he's smiling

"Harry... please stay?" I beg.

"I can't Vanessa, I have to go," he grabs my hand. I frown.

"Call me later then, okay?" I smile before turning away.

When I get to the front door my bags are not there, but the door is wide open. I guess Ariana took them in the apartment already? When I walk in, I see my guess is right. My bags are sitting in front of the couch.

"I miss you so much Vanessa!" Ariana flings her arms around me as she squeals. I laugh as I hug her back.

"I miss you too." I whisper. I do miss her, I miss being home. I miss not being sad because of a guy cheating on me, even when we aren't dating.

"I have so much to tell you." Ariana's eyes twinkle as she grabs my face. She drags me with her to the couch to talk to me. It hasn't even been a week, yet so much has happened?

"Please don't hate me but... Niall and I started talking." She looks down as she fiddles with her hands. I'm not going to lie, I was happy for her. Happy that Niall found a perfect girl for him. I didn't feel hurt, not one bit.

"Really? That's great!" I squeeze her arm and smile. "Explain to me how all this happened."

"Well, I kinda knew you were leaving with Liam, I don't know where, but I notice your clothes missing. I told Niall you were gone, and I asked him if he'd like to come over just to hang out. I felt a bit lonely without my best friend." She looked up and smiled at me. " Anyways, we accidentally kissed. He confessed he did like me, and I kinda like him too." She traced her lips as if she was remembering their lips touching.

I remember kissing him. His soft lips moving in sync with mine. Our tongues fighting for dominance. That cute smile he'd give me after we kiss.

"And guess what else!" She interrupted my memories of kissing Niall. "I'm planning on going to college next month, I really want you to go with me." She rambled on about how exciting it would be if we'd get a dorm together in Stanford University.
