Chapter 1
"Maddie I am so sorry come back let me explain!"
I can't fully remember what happened that day after I caught Aiden, my now ex-boyfriend, and one of my so called "best friend" kissing at his house.
But I can still remember Aiden chasing after me until I reached my car. How could I not have seen this happen. I'm so stupid. But that's the past.
I can't trust anyone now.
" Maddie are you okay?" Sarai asks me in a conserned tone. Knocking me out of my thoughts.
" Yeah just thinking" I respond quietly.
Sarai and Alicia have been my best friends since kindergarten. So I never expected this to happen. I never expected Alicia to stab me in the back. It's been 3 months since I caught them.
Its now the first day of my junior year of high school. This year is going to be different. No drama or trouble that's what this year is going to consist of.
"Come on Maddie lets go before we are late. You know how Mr. Thompson is when we're late." Sarai says while pulling me into the building.
" I don't know about today I don't feel well maybe I should go home and rest." I say while trying to get out of her grasp.
"If this is about Aiden just ignore him he doesn't deserve you. I bet he isn't even sorry. If he was sorry he would have tried to contact you over the summer to talk things through but did he I don't think so. So just ignore him" she rambles while giving me a reassuring hug.
" He did try to contact me many times actually I just don't want to hear it" I explain to Sarai.
" Really what did he do?" Sarai asks.
"Well he came to my house that night and tried to talk to me-"
" yawn . boring did he do anything interesting?" sarai asks.
" well maybe if you let me finish I could have told you the rest. Anyways he came to my house and sang to me, he also-" she cut me off once again. " woah he sang to you? what song?"
" yeah he sang some pierce the veil song? I don't remeber which song though. Well he also came to my house with Alicia so we can talk.", I continued " and he tried to call and text me but I ignored all of the messages." I finished as we got to our math class.
"Guess who" Connor says while covering my eyes.
" um is it? Trevor?" I say jokingly.
" no its me Connor, you know your best friend since 6th grade." Connor said with a frown.
" oh its that loser what do you want?" I say with a laugh.
I saw a frown start forming on his face.
" you know I love you don't take it so serious."
A smile started creeping up on his face again.
"I have good news and bad news which do you want first?"he asked while we walked to our seats in the back of the classroom.
"um..... Bad news first" I responded after pondering it for a while.
" well I talked to aiden" he said quickly, " and he asked me if he could talk to you and i said yes that you would talk to him" he said flinching as if he was expecting me to hurt him.
I wasn't gonna hurt him I was gonna kill him. How could he make plans with him without my consent.
I never wanted to speak to him or Alicia again he broke my heart. I'm no longer the girl i was 3 months ago. I no longer like socializing with people. I listen to different music I wear diffrent clothes and darker colors.
