Cladius walked in the temple of the gods. He took a deep breathe, his armor was on, he was ready for war. Almorah followed closely behind him. Her armor would be finished today, according to Blackhand. The prophet Bailbora walked out, his shaved head and thin frame looking towards Cladius. His pale green eyes seemed to smile.
"Why have you come?" Bailbora asked.
"I come seeking guidance and knowledge." Cladius replied.
"And you?" Bailbora's head zipping towards Almorah.
"I came, because I am to follow my master." Almorah replied.
"Leave us; I must speak to Sir Cladius alone." The priest smiled.
Cladius nodded his head watching as Almorah left his side. He was curious on what the priest would tell him.
"I'll wait outside." Almorah replied.
Cladius simply listened before he turned his attention to Bailbora. The priest pasted around the knight, as the sound of the door closed behind the two men.
"Yes, Sir Cladius, what do you know of the words written on the walls by the prophets of old?"
"Very little, I have never been a zealot of religion. Though, I admit a poor worshiper, I've always felt a deep connection with the gods."
"That's good. Let me read the walls of Claydrin's chapel." Bailbora adjusted his voice, pointing his finger at weird symbols on the wall behind him, "A Thousand years after the sun's rise will mark the man to rise. The son of a king and knight of armor, he will live, he will conquer. He is the emperor of the new order, the Empire of Kings. He is more than a man, and no less than a god. May Arrivail guide him with her blade, and Claydrin endow him with his almighty power for he will face the void and cast it out with his undying light; the son, of sons, the light of light, the God of Man, the God of Life."
"Yes, I know, it has been revealed that we are near the reign of the sun." Cladius replied, "I do not see why it is important for me."
"The gods have chosen you to make this prophecy happen, however they do not tell me which role you play."
"Why so ambiguous? Can they not just tell me what they want to say?" Cladius replied.
"Why don't you ask them yourself?"Bailbora said smiling.
"And how will I accomplish that?"
"Travel to Zelstine. Collect the skull of a hell hound, the blood of a god, a dragon scale, and the feather of the griffin."
"How can I possible kill a dragon or a griffin? Collecting a skull of a Hell hound and the blood of a god is impossible for mere mortal men. I cannot accomplish these tasks."
"Perhaps I have wasted my breathe? I say unto you, no. For I have spoken the will of the gods. Do you not trust them? They seem to place a lot of hope into you. You must find the Sun God, The God of Life. They tell me only you can."
"We are but on the eve of battle, I cannot leave."
"When will you understand? You are foolish to believe that the Gods do not already know such things. They wish for a god to rule it. We worship the God of Life, though he hears not our prayers, though he is our eternal leader. I am but a patient old man, but the gods will me to tell you to leave now."
"I leave in faith." Cladius replied, walking towards the door.
"May that faith guide you, young knight, Sir Cladius."
Cladius opened the door to see the bright smiling face of Almorah. He couldn't help but to give a quick smile with his grim face. He kept walking forward. Almorah quickly leaped from the barrel she sat on.
