Precisely seven months later, I sat in the chair behind the counter at Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes Shop. My swollen ankles were propped up on a step stool. I had finally caved and was reading the "What To Expect When Expecting" book that Kat had been bugging me to read lately. It was kind of interesting though.
I kept my eyes on the book as I heard the bell above the front door ring. If that person needed me, they would come over. I was too achy to get up anyways. The whole pregnancy thing was really taking a toll on me.
"Gwen?" came a male voice from in front of me. I obviously knew that voice. I looked up from the book and stood up.
"Arthur, pleasure to see you! How have you been?"
"Not to good I'm afraid. Percy hasn't returned from the ministry but otherwise, everyone is fine." I sighed as I slumped down onto the couch.
"You want to help take care of me, don't you?" I asked as I crossed my arms over my chest.
"Well...." Arthur said, nodding.
"Mr Weasley, no offence, but I don't need your help. I am perfectly fine. Plus you need to support Molly, Ginny and the others as well" I told him.
"Gwen, that is my grandchild in that stomach of yours. I'm just saying that maybe a little money and some support will do you good seeing as Fred, George and Kat are out on cases most of the time." Arthur offered.
"Mr Weasley..." I said, shaking my head.
"Gwen, please. Just let me help. You can't keep the shop open for much longer. People will stop leaving their homes." He pleaded.
I looked over at him for a second. I looked in his eyes and saw the same stubborn look that I always saw when Fred wanted something to happen and wasn't going to give up. I let out a soft sigh and nodded.
"Alright, okay. You can help." I told him quietly. Arthur smiled and nodded.
