"Just like I said, just a hit in the head and dead," Vivi had hit the acid in the head with her her foot. "But it has to be direct skin contact, I forgot to add that." She added. Matilda looked at her slightly horrified, but then she relaxed.

"Then let's go, I don't wanna stay out here much longer to be honest." Matilda said and tugged on Vivi's jacket sleeve. She didn't feel any safer now that she got to know that there was a new and more dangerous danger, and that there was going to be more of it soon.

They went home in silence, Ida and Julia were already standing at the door angrily, they were hungry and it was nearly noon.

"Where have you guys been?! We were worried sick!" Julia yelled in their faces, mostly Vivi's.

"Sorry, there were acids on the way, not fun to deal with." Vivi shrugged, then went into the kitchen and started to make breakfast without another word. Ida went and woke the rest up, they weren't really happy to be waken up, but Sofie almost hit Ida when she woke her up.

"Shhhut the fuuhck uuuuup..." Sofie grunted. Ida frustratedly threw a pillow on her face.

"Just get the fuck up already, breakfast is nearly ready if it isn't already." Ida literally dragged her out of bed after that. When they finally got to the table Sofie was still half asleep and drooled on her plate.

"Soooo.... Vivi said something about acid before, do you know what she meant by that?" Julia turned to Matilda, she froze. Julia just got more confused.

"N-no, I don't know what she meant by it. We just milked a goat and got home, that's all that happened." Matilda lied before she could think of something else. But then she though that maybe it was better to not tell her now.

"Oh okay..."

After a few minutes everyone finally sat down at the table, they weren't quite used to have to sit down by a table and wait for the food to arrive yet, they got unused to it from being on their own for a few weeks, so it was a little awkward between them. When the food did arrive in a big pot, though, they were happy that it was warm, though all of them weren't happy to see what was in the pot.

"P....porridge..." Julia was very disturbed by the greyish mass in the pot, it wasn't really her favourite dish. She'd rather throw it out of the window as quickly as possible. Siri looked at it like she wanted to drown it in something, which she did, she wanted to put as much sugar and dried fruit in it as she could. Matilda looked away, she felt sick just by looking at it. Ida was actually happy to see it on the table, she smiled the biggest smile she had smiled ever since the apocalypse started.

"Hey, I worked hard on it! Stop looking at it like it's burned scones!" Vivi was offended, but put a big ladle of it into everyones bowls.

"You really are evil, Vivi....." Matilda made a disgusted sound. Vivi pouted.

"Aww c'mon, just try it!" Ida said rather cheerfully, Julia looked at her with a horrified expression.

"Exorcise them." Julia said seriously, Sofie and Matilda nodded. Siri looked on the table.

"Are there any dried fruit or sugar here?" She asked, desperately hoping for a yes.

"There's sugar but no dried fruit, oh and blackberry yam. But I'm saving the sugar for special occasions, there's not much of it." Vivi said without looking up. "So I hope that it's alright."

They ate in silence, or well, tried to eat it. Julia could barely swallow it.

"Alright, in everyone's rooms there's a jacket on the bed, please put it on whenever you're outside, it's protection against the acids."
