-Mello's POV-

The door opened, and there stood Matt, beautiful as ever. When he saw me, his expression changed from annoyed to shocked.

He just stood there, not saying anything, so I spoke up. "Hello, Matt. Long time no see."

"M-M-Mello?" He stuttered, not looking like he really believed that it was me.

"Yup," I said, grinning, "and you're 'M-M-Matt'."

"Wow... I, uh, I wasn't expecting this," he said. He stared at me with an odd look on his face, but I couldn't read his expression. He looked... Angry? No, not quite. Surprised, I guess, and a little irritated. But there was another emotion in his face, although I couldn't figure out what it was. "You look... different."

Huh. I hadn't really thought about it, but I guess I did look different. I had recently traded my black cotton clothes in favor of black leather. I also wore a beaded rosary at all times (although I was not exactly what you would call a 'religious person,' if you know what I mean).

Matt, however, looked just like he always had. Long sleeved striped shirt, jeans, boots. His hair was still as red as a fire engine, and his green eyes sparkled underneath the goggles he had worn since I had given them to him when we were kids. His freckles were still evident on his face, sprinkled across his nose and onto his cheeks. Damn, he had gotten even hotter as he had grown older. As I looked at him, I started to feel calm, at home. I felt like I could just... sit in his lap... and let him hold and cuddle me... No! I had to stop thinking like that! This is exactly why I left Wammy's house in the first place, I reminded myself. I quickly replaced my facial expression, which had 'in love' written all over it, for a more smug look.

"Yeah, I guess so," I smirked. "Do you like it?"

"What? Oh. I- uh- yeah. You look ho- I mean, it suits you," he stammered, blushing violently.

"Thanks," I grinned. "But..."

"But what?" He asked.

"Well, are you gonna let me in or are we just gonna stand here all night?" I laughed.
