-Matt's POV-

"Well, are you gonna let me in or are we just going to stand here all night?" Mello asked me, laughing.

I blushed and opened the door more so Mello could walk past me. "Sorry, it's kind of a mess. I wasn't really expecting a visitor..." I apologized. "And especially not you of all people," I muttered.

"Oh, it's fine," Mello said, looking around at the video game controllers and cigarettes that had taken control of the house. He picked up a cigarette and looked at it with a disgusted look on his face, as if its very presence was too much for him. "Matt......" He looked up at me. "Are these yours?"

I felt a pang of guilt as I looked at his face. He looked so.... disappointed. Like I had let him down. To be honest, I would have preferred for him to start yelling at me. I'm so sorry, Mello...

Wait! Why should I be sorry? Mello is the one who left me, out of the blue, without a warning nor explanation. He didn't even say goodbye or leave a note! Hell, he's the reason I started smoking in the first place! He shou-

"Matt," Mello interrupted my thoughts. He spoke quietly, calmly. I just stared at the ground. I felt so guilty. Ugh! Why did I feel like this?

"Matt," Mello whispered again, and he stroked my cheek. I flinched at the warm touch of his skin. I glanced up at him. Oh, he looked so beautiful... almost like an angel. I felt an urge to kiss him, to hug him, to never let him go. But I knew he wouldn't accept it.

Mello lightly lifted my face up. "I doubt you feel the same, but I... I love you, Mail Jeevas." My eyes widened as his lips crashed into mine.
