Part 3 - My Boo

Hours before Noah arrived in my driveway with his yellow Porche, I took a bold step forward and dyed my hair back to blonde. My hair was naturally blonde, but when I started dating Colton, I became too aware that the color did not bring out my eyes. Colton loved it when I dyed it brown, he said my eyes looked better. But still he left me for Lucy. I don't need a reminder of him now that I'm going out with Noah.

Noah had walked back to me after saying that he won't lose to get my number, and we had been texting the whole day. I didn't need to remind myself that it was just a game, because every conversation involves only how great he is. And it was getting boring.

That night I was feeling rather alive with my new hair, and I was wearing my new top, layered with my black cardigan and black jeans. My heels somehow seemed to have fit perfectly tonight and when Noah finally arrived, I was all ready to get moving.

The first expression I saw on Noah's face was surprise. I panicked, thinking that he hadn't liked my new change and might laugh at me. I certainly do not need that right now.

"Sweet baby," He whispered as he got out of his car, smiling and checking me out. "Darling, my sweet Breanna. The old Breanna is back?"

I rolled my eyes playfully, before giving him a twirl to give him a better look, "Like what you see?" I don't know why I said that. Around him, I felt a lot more bold, free and not afraid.

He was still checking me out as he stepped closer, touching my hair with his fingers, bringing a strand of them up to his nose, breathing them in. I could feel his hot breath against my cheek, and it felt deliciously, sinfully good. He smelled like expensive cologne, mixed with slight a warming scent I couldn't quite put my finger on.

When I open my eyes from closing them while I breathed him in, I could see Colton standing on his porch with his arms crossed, watching us. Noah noticed and he followed my gaze. Upon seeing my ex-boyfriend, my new pretend boyfriend smirked, raised his hand in a salute and spoke loud enough for Colton to hear.

"Thank you, O'Connor. What you lose is another man's gain." He bowed, something I noticed that he does often, whether to mock or to charm his way to a lady's attention. He opened the passenger seat door, leading me in before closing it for me.Then he got to his side of the car. I watched as he waved goodbye at Colton, who clearly looked pissed as we drive off into the city.

Noah brought me to my favorite diner, Jerome's Pizza, and I have no idea how he had known I would go to this place even if I had the chance to enjoy a meal at a fine-dining restaurant. I'd looked at him when he opened the car door for me, half hoping that he would say something about how he'd known, but he'd only smiled, kissed my cheek when I got out of the car, and led me into the diner. He kissed my cheek. My heart shouldn't be beating so hard and fast. But it was.

Let's kiss and hug. He said that, didn't he? It's part of the game, but I'll see to it that I win.

Once inside the diner, Noah ordered for a medium-sized pizza, with extra cheese and pepperoni, just the way I like them. Which made me wonder how the hell had it known it. Could he have been a stalker? Maybe I was just helping him get closer to me by sealing the game. Ugly thoughts aside, I shook my head. How could a handsome, charming boy like Noah be a stalker? I think he has his own stalker. You know, girls who didn't get his attention?

The date wasn't awkward or quiet because Noah never shuts up, literally. As he spoke, I felt drawn to look at his lips. They were thin, but not too thin, just perfect for someone who's also known to be a good kisser. When he laughed or smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkled, and his bluish-green eyes gleamed with such excitement whenever he speaks of something exciting. It was like he never had to worry about anything, like he was happy all the time.
