Chapter 10:Goodbye, Asriel

James had gotten the group out of hiding as they circled around Asriel. James looked over to Ruby and Yang, he simply said,
"Yang, Ruby, we just need a small bit of blood. It doesn't have to be murder amount, just a few drops is needed."
Yang and Ruby looked at each other, then Asriel. The two sisters nodded in understanding and grabbed Blaze's dagger. Yang decided to go first and made a small cut on her forearm and waited for her blood as Ruby made a cut on her palm. The two then retrieved the fresh blood for Asriel to use. Asriel grabbed the jewel and token as he wiped the blood from the two of them on the artifacts. Soon the cave was filled with light as he was lifted up into the air, seeing a bright light. Asriel realized he was free, free from his curse and can now reach the afterlife and be with Olivia again. Asriel thanked them all as he ascended. The nine of them stood there, silent and nearly crying. Through all of the bad things he had brought, he was really a nice person that wanted friends. The group started to leave, before James left he said,
"Goodbye, Asriel Sparrow......"
