"Dad, couldn’t your car go any faster?! Gosh!” I asked him, totally panicking for I was already late for my return demonstration for CPR.

“Calm down, will you? You’re not late.” He replied, eyes focused on the road.

“Nu-uh! They just texted me that they already checked the attendance.” I said to him, shoving my phone in his face.

He swatted my hand and paid no attention to me and concentrated on his driving. Wow, very attentive dad.

“Red light.” I heard him say when the car came to an abrupt stop.

“What the f-“

“Language!” He shouted. Tsk, parents. So strict and uptight. Bla bla bla.

“Okay, sorry sorry.” I said to him, raising both my hands in surrender.

I glanced out the window completely pissed off of this day's events when I saw something horrible and terrifying on the car next to me.

My reflection.

I looked bad, like really really major major bad.

My hair looked like a bird's nest. My eyes looked similar to a racoon's. My lips looked dry and cracked like the sahara desert. My face was a complete mess. And wow, I still had the guts to show up in school.

"Ugh! What kind of curse do I have?" I groaned in frustration.

Due to my dad's 'awesome' driving, it took forever to arrive in the university but in God's good grace, I Ianded in my destination. Thank you Lord!

I ran hysterically from the gate to the 4th floor of the nursing building. I was a mad woman I tell you, like a cheetah on wheels.

I was about to enter the elevator when someone in white caught my eye and my radar never ever disappoints me.

The person in white, looking all wonderful and perfect, was no other than the love of my life, Mark.

"Oh my gosh! Mark! It's you!" I shouted at the top of my lungs and then covered my mouth when I realized what I just did. Shit. Code red, code red.

Every person in the cafeteria turned their heads to me and gave me weird stares like I've gone completely crazy for screaming so loud.

I was about to retreat when I heard a voice acknowledging my presence.

"Hey Mark! I think this girl just called you." the guy he's with said, pointing a finger at me. Wow, don't you know that pointing at someone is rude. I want to cut that finger off your hand.

The guy he's with was no other than his bestfriend, Kirbin.  He's the most annoying guy I have ever encountered in my entire life. Why? Beats me, I just find every bit of him annoying.

I panicked as both of them moved forward to my direction. I was glued in place. Feet, why now?

My heart was pounding so hard and I started to sweat bullets. He's coming. Oh my gosh. What to do? What to do? Move you lazy limbs!

"Hey? Are you okay?" Mark asked. He was standing a few inches away from me but close enough to feel his body's warmth.

I blinked a couple of times, not believing that he was actually talking to me.

Still not getting any response, he poked my arm.

OH MY GOSH! He touched me! He freakin touched me! Arm, never will I wash you again.

"A-ah. E-eh."

Ah, Eh? Really brain, really? That's all you can come up with? You're ruining my only chance here!
