THE TALENT SHOW

The video above is for the song they sing in the talent show so you can play it to hear what it sounds like because I might have messed a few parts up.

we all meet in the music room an hour before school starts for one last practice run before the talent show in the afternoon. 

we spent lunch as usual but I didn't eat much and soon it was time for the talent show. we are the third to go on so we have to wait back stage and that made me more nervous. the whole school was going to see us. Not to mention I haven't performed in front of an audience since Ali had moved to live with Father.

the first group was just a dance which was really nice. the second was some sort of strange skit then it was our turn.

"next performance is Alex Half-elven playing the piano, with Ali Half-elven on singing with a student from another high school, Leah Windshine and her brother Seth Windshine on the drums. They are going to play a song for you." the announcer said and the girls in the crowd went wild. I took the mic from the announcer.

"we are going to play a song I wrote a while ago," I say turning to smile at the guys. "it's called Sad Song" with that I hand the mic over to Ali and head over to the piano.

(I start to play and Ali starts to sing at the right moment. Seth joins in somewhere in the middle of the song play the video above for accuracy)
