Lately it seems as if Jacob doesn't want to hangout. Usually he would say yes in a heartbeat but lately it's been "I'm too tired" "Oh I'm busy doing this thing." "Rain check?" Ect. Maybe he's tired of me. I think I've caught feelings for him, but maybe he doesn't feel the same way. I've been talking to Zach a lot he's been trying to help me. I didn't want to tell the girls because they would never let me hear the end of it. I was just about to leave to go to Zach's house, but when I open the door Ariel was there.
"Oh hey Ariel, did we have plans today?" I ask her.
"No." She says glaring at me. "But it looks like you have plans."
"Oh um yeah I was just about to ask to Zach's house."
"Stay away from him." Ariel says.
"Ariel if you think I like him that's not the case. Wait.. Do you like him?" I ask smiling at her.
"What?! No." She says, "Okay maybe."
"Don't worry I think he likes you too." I say to her winking.
"Wait really?!" She asks excitedly.
"Um yeah isn't it obvious?" I ask her
"No...?"
"Ah you're so oblivious." I tell her rolling my eyes playfully. "He totally likes you."
"Really?" She asks
"Yeah!" I say. "Well I have to go I have plans with him remember?"
"Oh uh yeah have fun." She says smiling at me.
"Okay I'll see you later." I say walking out the house.
I walk a few houses down to get to Zach's house. Of course I had to pass by Jacob's house. I saw him there hanging out with Loren. I guess he was tired of me. I look over and we both make eye contact before I start walking away. I finally get to Zach's house and knock on the door.
"I'LL GET IT." I hear him scream. I laugh lightly. When the door opens I am immediately dragged into his house.
"Well hello to you too." I say laughing.
"Hi. Okay I need updates what's up with you and Jacob?" He asks.
"Well when I was walking here I saw him hanging out with Loren in the front yard. We made eye contact but I walked away when we did because I was walking to your house."
"Did Loren see?" He asked.
"I don't know, but I don't have much to worry about with Loren and Jacob being a thing because Loren is with Joey." I tell him.
"That's true, but you never know they could break up." He says.
"Yeah but they even made an Instagram for both of them. If that doesn't scream serious for some middle schoolers I don't know what does." I say.
"Yeah I guess they are pretty serious." He says.
"Mhm."
"Hey have you talked to Ariel lately?" He asks
"Uh yeah I ran into her on the way over. Why?" I inform him.
"I don't know I mean I really like her and I was thinking of asking her out but I don't want to be rejected." He says seriously.
"Hey, trust me she really likes you. You must be a fool if you can't tell." I tell him.
"Really?" He asks looking up at me.
"Mhm."
"You know what I'm going to go ask her out right now. What's the worst that could happen." He says.
"There you go! Good luck." I say
"Luck's for losers." He says running out the door.
I laugh and leave behind him. I watch as Zach runs to Ariel's house. I walk down the sidewalk towards my house. Once again walking past Jacob's house. When I do I walk as quickly as possible trying to avoid him.
"Cam!" He calls.
I turn around, instantly regretting it.
"Ohh um hi." I say.
"Uh how are you?" He asks smiling at me.
I instantly melt when he smiles, but push it to the side.
"I'm fine, and you?" I ask.
"Great. Do you wanna hangout maybe?" He asks.
"Oh um I'm sorry I can't I promised my mom to be home as soon as I can back from Zach's. Sorry." I say, well that was a lame excuse. I quickly walk back to my house avoiding him when I do.
When I get home I run straight to my room. I decide to go on my laptop and play some roblox (because i'm trash.) I decide to play murder mystery because it's my favorite game. I hear someone throwing things at my window. I check the time and see that it's 8:00. I got to my bay window phone in hand and open the window.
"Hey." I say.
"Hi." He says.
Instead of a comfortable silence as usual it's an awkward silence.
"So how was your day?" He asks.
"It was good I'm pretty sure Zach and Ariel are dating now." I say.
"Well it was bound to happen." He says laughing.
At the moment I felt so confused, he had been putting me off to the side and all of a sudden wanted to talk to me. I didn't even know what I did that made him not want to talk to me.
"Cam?" He says.
"Hm?"
"Uh did you hear what I said?" He asks.
"Oh no sorry." I said "Uh actually I think I'm going to go to bed. Goodnight." I say quickly and close my window.
I get my laptop and put my covers over my body. I go on Netflix and watch some TV. After a while I realize it's midnight, but it was also a Friday so I continue watching. A while later I hear a text notification from my phone. It was a message from Jacob.

I turn off my phone and charge it. I decide it's finally time for me to go to sleep. I close my laptop and go to bed.
